I am sure this was covered before but do marine characters/vets get the extra attack for being armed with two CCW. Page references would be nice

If a Marine IC or Vet Sgt purchases two single handed weapons, then they gain the +1 attack. Having a bike in conjucntion with this is irrelevant as a bike is not a weapon nor do the rules for using a bike remove the ability to gain the +1 attack for having two weapons.
Basically, the BGB tells us that if you have two single handed weapons then you get the +1 attack. Nothing in the SM codex overrides this basic rule.

Chaos Codex does but that's a different thing entirely. Chaos Codex say that it takes one hand to use so you can't have two CQC weapons. However the Loyalist's one doesn't say that so you can. I suppose.

So a normal bike gets only one attack in close combat? What if you equip them with a chainsword, or a bolt pistol?
I ask because the Black Templars Codex allows up to 3 Initiates in a bike squadron to take a Power Sword. If I'm going to spend 45 bucks and upwards of 130 points for three models with only 1 power sword attack each, I'd like to be forewarned.

CK They only get the base 1, however, its made up with these abilities. 1) they move 12" a turn 2) are T5 3) you can fire rapid fire weapons and still assault 4)you can fire rapid fire weapons once at max range and still move/assault 5) you can fire twice at 12" and still assault, 6)the bolters are twin-linked 7) they have awesome choices for special weapons and still retain their TL Bolters if needed 8)they can all carry melta bombs. The majority of my list is Bikes and I absolutely love them to death.

Any page references because I don't see were it says they can't gain the extra attack. chaos bike entry says it specifically but they already get 1 extra attack in the bike profile.

There is no option to get a second CCW/Pistol, so you can't claim an additional attack. To claim the extra attack you have to have 2 CCW or CCW/Pistol.

Space Marine characters that have access to the Armory can purchase and use a second CCW while on a bike.

Bah some confusion here. I was refering to the guy who asked about the Black Templar squad. But Ghaz is correct about the IC on a bike.

Chaos bikes already give you +1 attack anyway, so it evens out.

Under the bike entry it also allows you to upgrade a sgt. and allow him to select additional thing from the armory so I am assuming he can buy the fist and additional CCW for the extra attack also.

I guess it's a good thing that the sergeants and characters that have access to the armory can buy a second CCW, but this just looks to me like another way GW screwed the pooch on the Templars by disallowing them to purchase veteran sergeants for their squads.
I guess that means I'm sticking to sloggers with RZ-boosting Chappies and Attack Bikes.

I just don't see the galaxies greatest warriors running around with a bunch of squads without one of them in charge. Just seems silly to me. What happens when half the squad wants to go one way and smite something and the other half wants to smite something in the opposite direction? They need a Sergeant to direct their smiting to be more efficient. The Emperor doesn't like sloppy smiting.
