I hope people don't mind my posting a WFB thing here - there don't appear to be many WFB models here, but there is a WFB section in the forum.

Anyway, here are some greatswords I made from plastic bits of tat and old models, mostly spare knight pieces and some militia. I hope people like them - they were very cheap to make and are quite characterful, I think.

Comments are welcome. I have some crossbowmen in a similar style which I have made, and I have also written an article about making these models. I've got a whole army (well, a WIP army . . .) of similar-themed models too.

Those look very nice. We are all going to be working on an Empire army soon. I would like to see more pictures of your stuff. It looks like there are some older models in the unit along w/ conversions.

Thanks,
Rick

Well, you can see the rest of the army (or, rather, the bits I have photographed) on my webpage. Here comes the shameless plug!

http://www.batcave.co.uk/empire/

Yes, there are a lot of old models in there - as I explain on the webpage, I bought a handful of old models with two-handed swords (and some with one handed swords too, but those I haven't finished painting). I intended to make a unit of all old metal models - but I got fed up with the cost! And I then realized that I had enough bits to make some really nice ones.

There was an article which inspired me - it is linked from the webpage above. I wrote an article myself about it too - that is also linked from that webpage.
