If a Priest joins a Sister Repentia unit and the unit fails it’s Righteous Zeal test and charges forward…what do I do with the attached priest? It’s a “failed” morale test…does he fall back while they run forward? Does he follow suit?

What does that do for coherenecy?

Repentia units are fearless While In CC and Righteous Zeal only really counts from Ranged attacks…so does the priest Charge! Right in front with them or What

lets get some thoughts on this

The rules for the priest says they are never considered IC so I would say by attaching them they are part of the Repentia squad and therefore subject to it rules. In short, he goes whooping and a hollering along with them all the while foaming at the mouth. (That additional colorful terminology is free of charge )

Well, the codex describes him as being subject to holy rage. That's it. (Codex: Witchhunters p. 29)

Simultaneously, the main rulebook says that ICs who join units do not benefit from that unit's special rules. (Rulebook p. 50) But priests aren't ICs, so we can disregard that rule.

I think we're stuck with the "all models in a unit move at the speed of the slowest model rule." (Rulebook p. 15)

I think that when you're supposed to move righteous zeal, you're just stuck. (Come to think of it, that doesn't even take into account what to do with the priest). What a mess.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias
