I recently started collecting Death Guard - my entire army is modeled but not yet primed (I'm still touching up with green stuff). I like Death Guard because I can make every model in my army look unique, and do a really messy job of gluing and painting and it still looks fluffy. I play at a friendly local gaming shop (Dragon's Den in Victorville) with a few friends, but I've never really used this army. Here's a list of what I have modeled: HQ Typhus, Herald of Nurgle Warhammer Fantasy Champion of Nurgle with a Raptor jetpack glued onto his back - Chaos Lieutenant w/Daemonic Flight? Elites 13 Chaos Terminators, 4 with Reaper autocannons and the rest with combi-flamer, combi-melta, and combi-bolter, various power weapons. Troops 10 Plaguebearers 10 bases of Nurglings 31 Plague Marines - all modeled with Bolters and knives, aside from the Plasma, Flamer, and Melta specialists, and a couple of Aspiring Champions. I've thought about running a 5-man Havoc squad with two Flamers and two Meltas. Close-combat Dreadnought and Ranged Dreadnought: these two models were kitbashed from Space Marine, Chaos, and Orky Dreadnought parts and bitz. The choppy one has a twin-linked bolter and a heavy flamer, the other has a twin-linked Autocannon and a Dreadnought Missile Launcher (no Havoc launcher). I will probably be fighting Ultramarines primarily, Eldar and Tau secondarily (both of the latter are set up to be fairly mobile armies). Also a good chance of going up against Imperial Guard (with lots of armor) and Sisters of Battle (with lots and lots of basic troops). I've previously played Tau and Necrons, and still have both armies. I don't have any Rhinos yet. How could I configure my army to fare well against a Space Marine player that fielded a Land Raider and a Land Raider Crusader alongside a Vindicator and two Dreadnoughts in his last game against the Eldar player?
