This would be for a local tourney, I do not want to be a powergamer, i do not want to min/max my army to death, the orks do not *need* to win but it would be an added bonus without further adieu, the list:

HQ: Warboss - Choppa, PK, Eavy Armour

Troops: 20 sluggas - 3x rokkits, nob (pk, choppa), 2x ammo runts
Troops: 20 sluggas - 3x rokkits, nob (pk, choppa), 2x ammo runts

Elite: 15 Stormboyz

Fast Attack: 10 Trukk Boyz - Burna, nob (pk/choppa); trukk - RPJ, Rokkit
Fast Attack: 10 Trukk Boyz - Burna, nob (pk/choppa); trukk - RPJ, Rokkit
Fast Attack: 2 Buggies - Skorcha, Red Paint, Spikes, Stikkbombs

Heavy Support: 2 Killa Kans - Big shootas
Heavy Support: Leman Russ - Heavy Bolter, Battlecannon, Armour Plates, Riggers

Basically, the fast stuff (trukks, buggies, stormies) gets up in their face and blocks LOS for the boyz walking in behind them.

the kans walk up with the boyz being a big target with enough firepower to take on the flanks.

I would drop the stormboyz and get more regular orks. The stormboys die easily and are overly expensive. Maybe instead of the stromboys get a unit of gretchin (notting cheesy about them IMHO, and everyone loves gretchin) and another unit of boys... That should be better for you I think.

Another option is to dump the buggies (although I do like em...) and take another trukk-mob, of 9. take the boss with them. (he has the Pklaw, so no need for a nob...) That would give enough combat power to wipe out a lot of armies in the 40k universe. (although not all will arive

)

Not bad at all. As you said not uber competative, by no pushover either. I'd agree that stormboys are over priced and are rarely worth it. If you want to use them anyway I understand, I converted a few when I started playing Orks with old fan jet packs. They're a very cool idea, but are too costly. If you use them, just expect them to die quickly and rarely make back their points. An extra slugga unit or some grots would be a better idea.
