There seems to be some ideas floating around that we have superior computers to that of the IoM. that our satellite controlled/laser guided/smart weapons would give us the advantage we need to hold out indefinitely (barring orbital bombardment).

I seriously doubt this would be the case. The IoM certainly has weapons of equal or greater power, and the systems to counter our primitive versions of the same weapons ( void shields, for one thing). Sure, we may have ICBMs that can target enemy titans on other continents, but the IoM has shields, orbital superiority ( so no satellites for us) and probably something that can shoot down those missiles.

Additionally, the IoM can land more guardsmen then we have bullets.
