I haven't looked into but I too have been seeing the talk. Il have to look into it.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

The SRD is free and legal so I'd recommend taking a peek. It doesn't have the quality art that's in the core book and cards but the rules are the same.

I know a lot of folks are going ga-ga about the cards and how easy it is to make characters, but I am a reactionary grognard who hates change; and therefore does not like it.

It honestly feels like a step towards further monetizing the RPG space, because now you need a set of cards to play. I feel the same way about proprietary dice too.

I am not a fan of monetizing RPGs beyond books/PDFs. Part of the appeal to me is that once you have the rules you don't need anything else to play.

Beyond that, I have not looked close enough at it to have an opinion.

The cards are frankly an unnecessary gimmick but I could see people who don't actually play ttrpgs (i.e. Critters) going gaga for them.

FWIW, though, you don't need the cards at all as the full text is in the SRD and you can just copy it over to the a character sheet since the rules for each card barely amount to a couple of sentences (or no more than the typical feat/talent/power/spell/whatever).

I wanted to run a campaign based in my sci fi setting for my novel, which might take place during or in replacement of the events of the 2nd novel (which has a very broad plan to it) I couldn't find a system online that fits the setting so started to make my own P&P RPG which has been a challenge. Character creation is a points buy/skill/traits buy system, but I started to make classes, which I got stuck on, so instead I just made it the Player can upgrade their stats freely. It's also a 2d12 system. I might've borrowed heavily from the Infinity Tabletop Miniature game for inspiration, lol.

My story! Secret War
After his organisation is hired to hunt down an influential gang leader on the Hive world, Omnartus. Attelus Kaltos is embroiled deeper into the complex world of the Assassin. This is the job which will change him, for better or for worse. Forevermore. Chapter 1.

The Angaran Chronicles: Hamar Noir. After coming back from a dangerous mission which left his friend and partner, the werewolf: Emilia in a coma. Anargrin is sent on another mission: to hunt down a rogue vampire. A rogue vampire with no consistent modus operandi and who is exceedingly good at hiding its tracks. So much so even the veteran Anargrin is forced into desperate speculation. But worst of all: drive him into desperate measures. Measures which drives Anargrin to wonder; does the ends, justify the means?
