Been a busy day at work today so I created a 500 point Gondor list so I can set about buying models. I also recieved an email from GW to say my Chaplain has been sent to my local store so that's great news.

Plan for tonight is complete another marine or 2 from my tactical squad!

Ideally: going to a hobby store and picking up some gloss varnish to throw under a dullcote to protect my models, then giving that a good test then application, and finishing up painting on two Carnifexes and a Tervigon.

Then working up the courage to start painting my first Fire Warriors (the test drones went well, but these will be the most complicated model's I've had to paint).

Probably: Working on those Carnifexes, base coating Fire Warriors.

Aaaaand the Leviathan build is complete, pending nothing falling off/apart before it dries! Once more, a great kit, very easy to build and yet so detailed. I won't be painting it for a while, but I may well try it out in a game (As an Imperial Knight) before then.

Shred City.

Built a bloody-ass drop pod, it was the first Warhammer kit period that had me stop to figure out WTF was going on. Then at the very end, the doors weren't closing properly. I didn't get them to shut perfectly in the end, the cement was too far dried.

The next drop pod I have, which is sitting here NIB, will be FAR different. Gonna slap the gak out of that kit.

I have two built, they were kind of tricky for sure, and I didn't even bother doing the center console (left it out to paint, never finished painting).

Still neck deep in deadzone terrain. Wish I had more connectors.

I finished building 3 deadzone plague and 2 hounds. Still have all the enforcers and a good chunk of marauders, and 3 plague models left to assemble. Getting to the stuff that needs hot water to bend

Still working through deadzone terrain. Looking into hot glue as a viable alternative to my dwindling supply of connectors. Working on some smaller stuff to help fill out my first 2x2 section, will have to do some walkways soon to add some height.

I am with you! Probably won't be doing much today.

It is kind of nice to almost be done with deadzone. I might actually play a game by the end of the month! Of course it will all be unpainted.

Hopefully I will find some time today to work on some things. I have a ceremony thing to go to tonight, so that cuts down on all my free time!

What did no one work on models today?!

Today I spent some time at the FLGS. Met some new players, talked about magic and how people are ruining the value of the game with the owner, and bought a pot of Rhulic Gold P3 paint to try out.

Also went home and grabbed Sedition Wars and Project Pandora, my next projects to assemble as Deadzone is nearly completion.

Speaking of Deadzone, finished up the plague faction today. 2 Rebels left to do (working on now). Leaves half the Marauders, which need hot water, and the Enforcers. Waiting till the end for the hot water treatment and sticking things to bases though. Getting there fast!

Sorry Sparkywtf, I've got some kind of plague, I think. Darn wife works around sick people, baby catches stuff easier than I do.. then passes it along. Illness has finally found a viable vector through which to assault my otherwise stout immune system =/

Sounds like you're really tearing up the Deadzone. My temporary bout of weakness has me slowed up but I've been working, just to snotty to want to sit at a keyboard with my head tilted towards the ceiling straining my eyes to see the screen. At the other end now, where its like I was designed with only a mouth for breathing

I've got about half of my first plague strike team assembled, need to do another medium guy, normal guy, and dog.. I think.

Painted my next 4 enforcers to the point they're ready to dip, but one broke off at the ankle after a fair drop, and other stuff came up. Going to flat coat one of them now to see if an alternative basing method worked out or not.

Well it helps we had a ton of snow dumped on us Thursday night through yesterday noon. So we have tried to stay in. Plus my girlfriend has been working shifts that allow me tons of hobby time!

I am tearing it up now, next month I will be back on a computer gaming kick, that will slow down progress to a halt.

I'm staring down the barrel of the same kind of thing, but full time summer work as opposed to gaming kick. Though, they kind of go hand-in-hand. It's a lot easier to relax/veg out to a game than it is to concentrate on painting or trim/clean models with hurty hands We didn't get the snow though, but you guys are more inclined to by default. It was actually t-shirt weather here in Illinois today.

I played in my first X-Wing tournament, which was also my first wargaming tournament.

I lost all 3 matches, but that's what I get when I've only played the game once before. At least the last two games got down to a single ship on both sides.

Picked up a TIE Interceptor at the shop, and got a Ten Numb promo card for participating, so I guess my next Rebel purchase will be a B-Wing.
