Subject: Dipping Eldar - Alaitoc Color Scheme?

I've seen Eldar painted using the dipping method, but the models have always been red. Would Alaitoc color scheme work (Blue/Yellow)? I think it would work great for the Scout Sniper Rifles (bleach bone), but wonder about the other colors, including green Scorpians, etc. Also, can you dip vehicles??? Thanks, Mez

Saim Hann, (red) Iyanden, (yellow), and Biel-tan (Green) would probably work much better for dipping.
The blue as a trim/highlight color for Iyanden yellow would work alot better for dipping I would think, but on Dysartes.com under their dipping article, there is a picture of a blue and gold Chaos Marine that turned out pretty well.

How much paint is used or wasted when dipping as I am assuming you actually dunk the model in ink?

Not ink. Minwax Polyshades wood varnish. Preferably the Antique Walnut color.
A lot of the varnish can be removed by flinging the model about, or more efficiently (and safely) by gluing a nail to the base and spinning the model (using centrifugal force) to remove excess "dip".

Exactly. I have seen a buddy of mine put a mini that was mounted on a nail and then put the nail in the chuck of a dremel. He then dunked the mini while it was mounted in the dremel and then turned the dremel on low speed to spin it. he had it down to an art, spinning it just enough. I was very impressed with how it turned out. I am thinking about doing the same thing for the genestealers I have for spacehulk. its so easy and it looks quite nice considering how much effort was put into it.
