So theres this chaos player I'll prolly have to face who uses psychic powers and a big demon with a demonic weapon.  I was thinking of taking Shadow in the Warp to try and stop some of the psychic firepower, when I realized that it might also help him.

Does Shadow in the Warp stop the perils effect if someone wielding a demonic weapon fails their leadership check?

The daemonic weapon forces a "mastery check." This check is not related to the rules about "perils of the warp."

But if the check is failed, the wielder suffers perils of the warp.

I suppose an extremely strict and selective reading of the Shadow power could suggest that Perils of the Warp attacks from failed mastery checks would be canceled as well.

But it's pretty clear from the wording of the rule that it only refers to PotW attacks from psychic tests.
