I want to use the Cadians mini's but I need IG to look like it has +3 Saves? I have no "Green Stuff" abilities so that out. So please help.....the helpless.

Sisters but men. So they will have Sisters stats, but marines bodies look too much like marines...so I can't use them.

Hey man, this would be a great opportunity to hone your greenstuff capabilites. Failing that you can create some intresting fluff based reasion, like paint their skin silver and say their made of adamantium, or something. Baring that, I dont know, you may want to considder using other models.

Well, even if you're not into greenstuff, you have some serious money forking out and or conversion ahead.

Try Ricco's Republican Guard -- you can cut off the pikes and do one handed bolters.

Or use the Arbites models from Necromunda, or the Chaos Warriors from Warhammer. Those are the models that spring to mind right off as bases for such a weird conversion.

Personally, if you want uparmored Guardsmen, just use the Carapace doctrine -- then a lot more modelling avenues open up.

har har.....very funny. I want to use them as Skitarii and Acts of Faith as "Blessings from the Machine God" I was thinking of just Implant-weaponing the bolters.

You could give them riot shields or a forcefield generator on their backs. Both of them can be done with bitz you can order. That would give you a reason for a 3+ save without having to use green stuff.

Really, though, the only way to get good at conversions is to try. No one is born a good converter. Good converters get that way by trying out stuff they don't think they can pull off.

I can convert fine, just I can't make things out of "green stuff". I think I have an Idea that's so easy so lazy and cheap it may work!

For army conversions try to work with plastic as much as possible. So the easy answer is to use plastic SM scouts. They are armoured enough to possibly warrant 3+ saves, you can always add shin guards and helmets if you dont mind a little conversion the work.

I was thinking about useing them, but I want to see them first. A friend of mine just got some so I'll have to look into  them.

I'd go with Bretonian men at arms, they wear heavy coats and have tower sheilds, you can easly clip the pikes to give them bolters.
