Is this even a good idea?  Probably not, but was wondering if anyone has done it?

Your T is now 4 for the Avatar, but you can re-roll your invulnerable saves in the unit just by using one psychic power.  I guess the unit is easier to target as a whole.

However, Eldrad doesn't have Fleet, so you don't lose that....

But, by Eldrad being an IC, he can just as easily stand behind the Avatar and not get targetted. It seems better to keep the Avatar T6. I can't see any real benefit with Eldrad attached to the Avatar.

Double check the rulebook. I don't think ICs can join MCs.

A character can't join another character. But the Avatar is not a character. It is a unit of only one model. So technically, it can be joined by an IC. But I don't know if I would want to try that myself....
