I currently have the following 1000 point list:

HQ - Marshall - Power Weapon, BP, Combat Shield, Terminator Honours, FG - 122
HQ - EC with 6+ Inv Save vow

T - 10 Initiaties, 4 Neophytes, PF/BP, Melta - 225
T - 10 Initiaties, 4 Neophytes, PF/BP, Melta - 225
T - 5 Initiates, Las, Plas - 105

FA - 8 Initiates, 2 Plasma, 2 Storm Shield, PF, Meltabombs - 223

Now I have a 1700 tourney I could use these guys in (instead of my Iron Warriors).  Here's what I have currently that I could use:

Enough Initiates to make another 5 man Las/Plas squad
5 Termis
1 Attack Bike
1 Rhino
2 Dreadnaughts
A boatload of Grey Knights
Chaplain
Land Raider

I could probably spring for a few more items, like another Attack Bike, and/or a box of termis to get a 2nd Assault Cannon, and possibly something like a Land Speeder.  I don't think I have enough time to complete any more Initiates, so another troop squad and/or assault squad would be out. 

So any suggestions on how to fill out the list for the next 700 points?  The list wouldn't have to be ultra competitive or anything, but give me a decent shot to win some games.  Thanks in advance for any help.

I used to have a BT army,but it was out of the old Armagedden 'dex.  I'll still try to help out.

First,I take the vow that now gives you the Preffered enemy special rule.  That was almost universal for me.  I'm not sure how many more points that'll cost you,but it was always my vow of choice.

I was never a huge fan of Neophytes.  I'd personally chuck them,as that could almost pay that 5-man Las/Plas squad.  You probably need some more tank penetration for a tourney,and an extra Lascannon would definately help.

I would throw in the Land Raider and the two Dreads,if it was me.   The Land Raider will soak up lots of fire,and the twin-linked Lascannons will give some needed anti-tank firepower.  I'd do the Dreads with Assault Cannons,Dread CC wpns,and Hvy. Flamers.  Try to get them in CC with units that don't have enough strength in CC to hurt them.  They rock with the increased chance to hit with your vow.  You could also use the Rhino to move one of those CC troop squads up quickly,if you get rid of the Neophytes.  If you had a Land Raider Crusader,I'd say build an Uber-squad with one of 10 man close combat squads,the Marshall,the EC,and the Chaplain going off with Litanies of Hate,then dump them right into the middle of their lines. 

Also,what Grey Knights stuff do you have,exactly?

I have 6 GK termis (incl. Psycannon and Brother Captain), and probably 10 or so GKs plus 4 Psycannons and an Incinerator.

My suggestions

T-10 initiaties PF/BP,Melta 8 neophytes(2 more neophytes if you have) (285)

Give marshal jump pack, or use the chaplain w/jump pack. attach to assualt squad.

Have the emperor champ with the squad of 9 in the land raider.

i think after this you'd still have points left over for a speeder. maybe something like this list? i have a friend who fields 2x foot slogging units of 10x intiates w/ 10x neos, very impressive.
