List is designed to be shooty and I wanted to try and go balanced and take more variety of units.  thus the bikes, Oblits, preds, and terms.  I think I have just enough counter charge with the Lord, bikes, terms, and oblits.  Semi mobile and shooty and the same time bisides the Havocs and las/plas squads.  I no I don't have a lot invested in troops but it seems this hardly matters anymore in RT as much as it used to.  Toss up between spikey bits and mutation but I prefer the mutation for added attacks.  I also was trying to avoid a lot of points tied up in single units/models.

Pros: An armor heavy list is gonna really suffer facing these guys. Mobility from bikes, terms, oblits can really do a number on a stand and shoot army that doesn't expect you to be shooting/charging down thier flanks.

Cons: An army with AP love like Eldar is going to drop your model count significantly pretty quickly and still be able to dance away from the ones that are left.

Overall I think it is adaptable enough to handle most foes. 33 models in 1500 just seems to get rough against certain armies(as my Emp. Children can attest to as they are in the same boat!).

Hopefully I'll get a chance to see what these guys can do on a Saturday soon!

I don't understand why people just don't play Nightlords maxed out with 6 Havoc squads, tac squads that shoot as well and fill in the gaps with some fast units for counter-assault/objective grabbing.

Night Lords get a ridiculously awesome +1 cover save so I would just make an uber shooty army, pack them into terrain and obliterate my opponents.

At least until the new codex comes along. . .

Can't they take Havocs with the undivided mark? And doesn't that make them Elites?

I'm someone who doesn't play Chaos, but that was my understanding (and I could be totally off).

Nope, that's Slaneesh.

however, stealth adept on a huge number of havocs and troops units with a variety of heavy weapons does makes for a decent, though static, army. The best two builds I have seen are the Stealth adept/all shooty army, and the army with 40 furies and the rest of its points put into stealth adept/shooty. You can see the common element here...
