Normal Blood Angels in Power Armor have red shoulderpads with black trim.  Their Veteran Sergeants have black shoulderpads with red trim.

Scouts have red shoulderpads.  I've never seen a Veteran Scout Sergeant.  Would he just have black shoulderpads?  Does it look ok?

I thought that Scout Sergeants had the same colour shoulder pad as all the other scouts. They just have the sergeant decal that GW supplies.

Chuck Norris' calender goes from March 31st straight to April 2nd. No one fools Chuck Norris.

Not in Kansas anymore, Toto

Not anymore. They did in 2nd ed, but the 3rd Ed BAs were painted with red all-over shoulder pads, including trim. No idea what they've done for Vet Sgts now, as I don't have the codex.

That isn't Red Shirt as in under-qualified, under-informed and over-opinionated GW staff...
It isn't Red Shirt as in Manchester United...

...It's Red Shirt as a tribute to the brave men condemned to death by being selected by Captain James T. "Bill Shatner's Ego Trip" Kirk for landing party duties in the 23rd Century/late 1960s.

Hmmm. It's true that there's quite a few like that in the 3rd Ed Codex, but there's also some of the older ones. I think some people out there are still painting them with the black trim... For example, the Blood Angel sample in GW's How to Paint book has black trim.

Anyway, speaking of Scouts, what's the little tube shaped thing they have taped to their thigh? I'm not sure if the metal ones had it, but the new plastic ones do.

Or possibly a silencer attachment (bolter flash suppressor?)

All's fair in Love and War.

Except Alaitoc, Blood Angels, 6-Dreadnaught Marine armies, Deathwing, Daemons, Necrons, Siam-Hann, Dark Reapers, 3+ cover saves, shooty Ork armies, jet packs, 3+ saves on Eldar, Drop Pods, Squiggoths, Daemonic Runes, etc.
Oh, and people using flamers against my Kroot. I hate that.

Regular BA have all red shoulder pads. (black chapter symbol)
Sergeants have black with red trim. (yellow chapter symbol)
I'd guess that scout sergeants would have black pads. (yellow chapter symbol)

I have nothing useful to add.
