a few months ago, I posted photos of this torso, asking what it should be, and most people seemed to think it was more Lictorish than Ravenerish, so since then I've been working on its other Lictor limbs.  I'm fairly happy with the middle limbs (converted rending claws) which give a reasonable 'sucker toes' look I think appropriate to an ambush creature like a Lictor.  I'm not so sure about the front talons - these are Warrior talons temporarily in place to show the pose - do they make the creature look too back heavy?  I also tried it with old and new Monstrous Creature talons, but they're so large (even when trimmed down) that they seem inappropriate for an ambush creature which surely spends most of its time hiding in wait and so shouldn't have enormous front limbs (I have the same problem with the official GW Lictor models).  Your thoughts?

The base isn't finshed yet, will probably add more bits to its top to better show the Lictor is hiding behind cover.  And then i have to think about a nice chameleon colour scheme...

I like the rending claw sucker appendages, not sure about the smaller "thumb" of the crushing claw torso. Maybe also add in a few of the random armor bits from the warrior sprues sparingly?

Pretty cool! but needs another set of limbs to make 6, even if they are tiny redundant ones.

You could try halving the size of the top arm talons, and adding the excess cut off bits to the elbows as stabbing blades.

the theory is that the 'tail' is actually the rear set of limbs which has mutated to form a tail shape - I believe some sea mammals did the same (like seals?)

Oh. I'd still stick on some small greenstuffed shoulders and wiry arms blending to half way down the curve it if thats the case. 'Cos it looks just like it's cut off at the waist at the moment, like you expect to see where the last set of arms are but he's been cut in half.

Great use of the claw as torso, I missed it the first time around I guess. Nice head too, and I think the limbs on it work great. I agree on the claw's 'thumb' looking weird - in the first pic you can't see it, and the model looks better for that . Nice kitbash otherwise, very unique.

I think that lictor is scarier than the regular one :|

It's not that it's not well done, but this lictor is more cute that scary to me...

The scything talons keep it all to scale cause they are not the huge ones, I think.
