Starting to put together a Searforge army and decided to make my ogrun look a little more integrated with the rhulic dwarf models. This is the Hordes..umm...blighted ogrun (forget the real name) that I removed the spikes, added a shield, shoulder-pad, and most importantly the standard Hammerfall helmet. Not my best work paint-wise, I had some clear coat issues (frosted so had to save it with high gloss then back to good reliable Testor's matte). Kind of killed the highlights and marred some of the detail here and there. But, its done and thats most important.

Colors used are Vallejo Khaki for the armor, Tin Bitz/Boltgun/Mithril Silver for metals, Vallejo Old Gold for detail, and Reaper Tanned Shadow, Tanned Flesh, and Tanned Highlight for the skin. Also, the base is not done because I haven't decided on what grass to use, may do normal static or may do a mix of snow. Either way, thanks!

Sweet. Freakin' sweet conversion. What's the helmet made from? chop-job or greenstuff?

Like the SM pouches on the belt too . Nice touch.

All around excellent model, and a great use of the warmongers.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

The helmet is the largest of the hammerfall ones (from the model where the head is not a seperate piece). I cut it in half just behind the front armor bit and extended it with some plastic and putty. The ogrun head is noticeably longer than the dwarf one, but the width didn't seem as much.

Looks good Kenshin. FYI, though it would probably would have been easier to make a GS mold of the helmet and then casta helmet from the mold out of GS.

See that? That thing just stuffed two other things into that bigger thing! What in Morrow's name is going on?"

Yea....but I am impatient see....

I thought about actually making a GS cast of the helmet post-conversion so I could re-use it for the other 2-3 bokur I need to make. I think I may try to just use GS next time though.
