I play World Eaters and I have almost no anti-armor in my army. I mod'd out 2 "shread"noughts with 2 dccws and havoc launchers. Now I have a Chaos Pred. How should I kit this beast out? I see alot of people that go all lascannons, and then other people say to do TL-las and the HB sponsons. Obviously it would be nice to move and fire all weapons every turn but with the lack of anti armor I'm shy about modeling HB's if I'm going to regret it later. I was thinking is: Predator = 203 pts (or opt out the HB's for Las for a total of 218) - TL Lascan - HB Sponsons - Daemonic Poss - Mutated Hull - Para Poss - Smoke Any help on this would be appreciated. thanks in advance!

Your post is in the wrong place. Also, I previously vowed that I would not provide any substantive response to any question you posed, due to your offensive, unnecessary, and disgusting signature block.

Definitely switch the HB for lascannon sponsons. Use its range, sit back in terrain and fire away. It is a beast!

Parasitic infection or whatever the one that regrows stuff isn't really worth it imho.
Also, your sig does make you sound a bit like you're 8 or something.

My Predator has "pinned" sponsons, but then again I have the older one and can do that easily. If you have the extra bits, there is a great way to make the sponsons swappable - I can describe it for you.
I prefer HB sponsons and twinlinked lascannons, because it is cheap, and the volume of fire it puts out while moving to clear any fire obstacle is formidable. Of course, I have lots of other anti-tank, so it has a more dual purpose. I would change your dreadnoughts into lascannon dreads if you are having anti-tank issues. You need to be able to shoot at different targets; having one tank that doesn't move and will only shoot at one target is not a good use of points. Any competent opponent will eventually minimize your ability to use those three weapons, anyway, leaving you with one or maybe two shots.
Mutated Hull is a must. I would not use parasitic possession, not worth the cost and probably only ready to be used when the tank is already dead.

And yes, your signature is finally palatable - possibly something that you would be willing to say in polite company. Would you go into middle school and say that other stuff out loud? if you would not, why did you subject us to it? Thank you for reconsidering it.

i appreciate your input on all things stated from the config's of your pred's to my signature. if it was a big deal, someone could've spoken up sooner. i never meant to offend fellow hobbyists. i'm figuring we are here to have a good time and discuss things dealing with the games we enjoy, so back to it I suppose.

In my WEs I've used both the all-Lascannon configuration as well as the Las/Heavy Bolter combo, and I actually think that both work well. I have a couple of powerfists and the Bloodthirster that can also take care of vehicles so that's not a huge issue, but the Lascannon Predator allowed those units to focus elsewhere. The Las/HB config, on the other hand, allowed me to destroy tanks if I desperately needed to, while still being mobile and shooty enough to kill infantry (it makes Banshees and Wolf Scouts cry on a regular basis).
So if you really need ranged anti-tank, go with the all-Lascannon configuration. I like the Las/HB combo because of its mobility and high rate of fire, though against MEqs you're probably better off with the Lascannon Pred.

For Thousand Sons, I like lascannons all around, demonic possession, smoke launchers, and mutated hull.
IMO, Thousand Sons can handle infantry pretty well... but they really lack anti-tank firepower, besdies random bolts of change... acouple of these lascannon predators can really help out, and they're really tough to crack... they ignore half of the glancing table, and are AV14 on the front... sweet.

I can't imagine a Khorne army being terribly successful without at least two all-las predators, or three las/hb predators. Just not enough mobile antitank.

We had a local player that played a berserker horde list... 6x squads of 8 berserkers, with a tooled up champ in each one, and a tooled up glaive prince. WIth talismans on the squads, and a champ with 6 S10 attacks on the charge, re-roll two misses, he took care of armor pretty easily. Even against armored company he did really well... just kept the squads spread out.

I personally plan on using 2 of the following in my next army. They are very good at taking out troops, and can also take out vehicles, my only concern is that I will need to create fire lanes for them to protect their vulnerable sides and rear. They are also very tough units that can hold objectives very well and who can ignore 25% of my army that might wipe out his squad next turn.
I am also very tempted to give them the mark of Tzeentch so I can do some damage against anyone attacking my tank in hand to hand such as Genestealers, and Swooping Hawks. (I play eldar and thats what I would use on these)

I've had very good luck with this pred.
Turret Autocannon, 2x sponson lascannons, Demonic Possession. (145 points)
I use two in my world eaters army.

you know i hear that alot about the autocannon turret and sponson lascannons. Do you like it more because it has 4 shots compared to only 3 on the "annihiliator" version? 2 of my friends tried telling me the same thing and I really don't know about that set up.

It's cheaper than the Twin Lascannons.
I wouldn't take it since you can't split fire anyway.
Having an extra shot doesn't really do much. It just plinks off of the Land Raiders, Monoliths, etc. that you shoot at with a tank-hunting Pred, and it's not as effective against Skimmers either if I remember right.

You take it because its cheaper than an all Lascannon pred, (which is important in a tourney style list usually and you're trying to cram as much bang for your buck in there right?) and its got one more lascannon then a Twin Lascannon, 2x Heavy Bolter pred.
The only things the autocannon is useless on is AV14. You're going to say that the Lascannon heavy bolter tank has better mobility, and I'd say if you move, you only get one anti-tank shot with each tank anyway, and the turret is twin linked which could be slightly better I guess, BUT...
The autocannon, lascannon pred is a cheap alternative to the All Lascannon pred, which won't be moving much anyway.
I've had good luck with that setup, like I said above.
