I am in the process of modeling my khornate daemon prince and was either going to give him wings for daemonic flight or make use of daemonic speed.  I was wondering what wings many have used for your daemon princes.  I was considering the Balrog wings from LOTR but I'm unsure how it might turn out. I've seen so many people use the Bloodthirster wings and I think its a little played out.  Would the Balrog wings be too small?

Also, does anyone have an idea what kind of weapon bit would be suitable for the DP?  I didnt want him to have that same sword all the others have.  I really didn't feel like the sword or the bloodthirsters axe would look right but I might be running out of options.  If anyone knows of a really cool Axe head bit that I could look for I could easily just make mod a new axe/glaive for him.

IIRC the balrog's wings are bigger, or at least give a much larger wingspan, then the thirster wings (and also look better). I actually would have thought most people use the plastic dragon wings on their DPs, as they were advertised as socketing into the backpack holes ... But I like the look of the balrog wings myself.

Weaponwise, maybe the shaggoth axe? I like the unornamented look o' that one.

For my own deamon prince I've used the wings and axe of the bloodthirster.
With a bit of converting and some creative placement  of the wings, you can actually make them look quite 'different'  

And in case you are interested in a bits list of the axe:

1. The two blades of the Bloodthirster axe, cut and repositioned
2. Two times the plasma gun from obliterator sprue.
3. The skull from the Slaanesh icon on the chaos vehicle accessory sprue.
4. A plate from the chaos tank accessory sprue.
5. The bunny ears from the juggernaut rider.
6. Bits from the eight pointed stars on the chaos vehicle accessory sprue.
7. A skull from the chaos tank accessory sprue.
8. The Bloodthirster axe hand.
9. The horns from the demon prince model.
10. The shoulderpad from the Juggernaut Champion of Khorne Arm.
11. Jewellers chain.
12. A bent steel rod from a hairbrush.
13. An old chaos marine shoulderpad.
14. The tusk from the chaos terminator champion.
15. The Bloodthirster whip hand.
16. The top spike of the Bloodthirster axe.
The shaft is just filed down greenstuff around a toothpick.
