Well... the eldar seem to have the best models to do a star war themed army... combine that with the fact that harlequins represent jedi very well and it just seems to work.... how does the list itself work out?

I have seriously considered making a diorama of white stormtroopers and armored crew compartement sentinals being overrun by furry gretchin.

YES!!

I don't think the intent is to power game eldar into a star wars like army. Honestly the guard makes a much better representation. If I were to do the eldar as star wars though, here's my take.

The only problem I have is that while the stats of the dire avengers are good, the models of the basic guardians are much better astheically. Maybe use guardians and call them dire avengers. Why not we're proxing everyone for starwars anyhow. And yes I realize that this list sucks compared to the first one, but I think its closer to starwars.

Not really... plus I have a great idea which will make the guardians look exactly like stormtroopers... and what in the guard army could represent the emporer.... or darth vader... or any of the jedi for that matter? And the problem with using a farseer to represent darth vader... is that darth vader is supposed to be a master swordsmen..... master swordsmen would have more than 1 attack

Obviously IG represents the bulk of Star Wars Imperials to the dot, but Eldar definitely have a hand up on the Jedi.
May consider combining the two, statwise?

A farseer with a witchblade has 3 attacks on the charge.. thats plenty. But here's my problem with Yriel (assuming he just has a powerweapon, I haven't read him in that much detail) a power weapon is still just str3, maybe with Yriel its str4... a witchblade much like a lightsaber can cut through anything, look at dreadnoughts cut to ribbons. It can easily wound any model in the game, granted terminator armor pretty much stops it, but if you look at star wars they didn't have terminators, heck they didn't even have space marines. So in that world mindset, the witchblade is godlike cause it can break vehicles too which we all saw at least twice in the 6 movies.

Eldrad as the Emporer.. no question there you got that nailed on the head.

I would posit that inquistors would work better.

You could use stormtroopers for uh... stormtroopers.
And you could use An ass kicking inquistor lords (in different configs) for Vader and Palpatine. (One of the inquistors could have a big retinue ... that would work for apprentice jedi or something).


I think Eldar Warlocks should get force push

Yriel has the Spear of Twilight, which is a singing spear, but ignores armor saves.... so it wounds on a 2+ and is a power weapon.... also the eye of wrath is a great weapon once per game..... and there is no such think as an "ass kicking inquisitor lord".....
