Yeah, as I said I can easily scratchbuild some reasonable quality ones myself (better than the BG article ones) as I have an ample supply of the older round shields and also the little shield bosses that came with the old plastic skeletons, but I'm really wanting to make something of equivalent quality, based heavily (read: ripped off from) this piece:

(sorry, can't get links to work with this editor)
I think the German Infantry Weapons Set is the one I used to have and am after actually. My wife is going into town on Wednesday this week, and this way I get her to go to the model store and let her know specifically what to ask for instead of a vague description and then whatever they decide to sell her. I couldn't remember how many mines the kit came with, so if it's only about 8 I'll probably scratchbuild the minefields and just use the Tamiya ones for more detailed "above ground" scenery pieces like this one.
Same reason I just bought a pack of the
GW razor wire.
And I will be making some model IEDs

Though, what do they tend to look like? I imagine them as being pretty well hidden and variable, but can't imagine what they'd look like well enough to be obvious on the games table while looking "hidden", aside from, say a pipe bomb. Jerry cans bundled together with some sort of detonator apparatus modelled on would work I guess - bits from the
SM vehile sprue, I just need a more detailed, "real" looking mine for the servo-skull piece.
