Hey, this is a report on my first game with my new Emperor's Children. It was a 1850pt to the death battle between my EC and a good buddy's 1 yr old sister army. Slaanesh Slaanesh Lord lightly tooled for combat and infiltating with troop unit. *psychic apocalypse 5 Noise Marines with a blastmaster, sonic blasters and lightly tooled AC infiltrating. 6 Noise Marines with a blastmaster, sonic blasters and lightly tooled AC infiltrating. 6 Noise Marines with a blastmaster, sonic blasters and lightly tooled AC. 6 Daemonettes 5 Traitors with meltagun 2 obliterators 6 Noise Bikers with sonic blasters and a tooled AC. 6 Noise Havocs with 4 blastmasters, 2 sonic blasters, lightly tooled AC and Tank hunter. 6 Noise Havocs with 4 blastmasters, 2 sonic blasters, lightly tooled AC and Tank hunter. 1 Defiler with indirect and mutated hull. Witch Hunters Canoness lightly tooled for cc with a ret of 10 celestians with st bolter and h flamer. 20 Sisters storm bolter and h flamer. 20 Sisters storm bolter and h flamer. 20 Sisters storm bolter and h flamer. 6 Sisters and rhino 6 Dominions with 4 storm bolters and an immolator 8 Seraphim 1 Exorcist 1 Exorcist 1 Immolator Before we started I decided to drop my Obs and play with a slight handicap. My mate has only played a 1/2 dozen or so games and has yet to win one. Our board is my 8X4 pool table with a liberal amount of buildings and we each deployed 18" in. The lord and ret were infiltrated into a forest halfway up the board and the second inf unit in the cover of a building. The traitors hid as close as possible out of sight to an exorcist. The defiler hid in the far corner behind a large cityfight building while one havoc unit took up position in the top floor of same building. The rest of my units took up largely hidden positions in the center. T1 I got the first turn. Though my defiler fire was a big miss. Everyone minus the defiler, lord/ret and top floor havocs moves forward. Bikes turbo forward. My foes turn was also bloodless only moving all his units forward. T2 My second is more useful. Six sisters are atomized by battle cannon fire and the daemon is momentarily sated. The immolater is immobilized by the Havocs on foot. With his exorcists out of LOS I take a spate of scattered bolter fire without casualties. We both then take a shot of whiskey in honour of first blood. T3 Three sisters units take blastmaster fire and each lose one sister. My bikers and 6 man infiltrator unit decimate the isolated seraphim and the bikers charge in the finish the job. Sadly 3 of the tasty angels survive and hold up the bikers. My small traitor unit is wiped out before getting into melta range. One retinue noisie gets sent back to the warp moaning the praises of Slaanesh. We each have another shot to honour first blood for the Imperials (after all I have 4 Imp armies myself). T4 The blastmasters start making their presence felt. The rhino explodes as does the mobile immolator. The thrill of the shrapnel and screams of the dying are more intoxicating than the finest combat drug and the rest of the EC are spurned on. The bikers finish off the Serpahim and consolidate into a 20 strong sister unit. Two members of the Lord's retinue are layed low. Three sisters were wiped out by the biker AC while one biker is killed in return. T5 The Lord and his 2 remaining retinue marines charge forward firing a hail of shots before smashing into the melee. Two dominions and one celestian die. The rest of the dominions are slain in combat and the Lord and 2 marines consolidate into the celestians. An exorcist blows into tiny bits. The biker AC kills one sister and one biker is killeed in return. The daemonettes pop into existence and charge a 20 strong sister unit lovingly killing 2 and losing one of their own. Five noise marines are wiped out in increasingly intense fire. Thats just more prisoners for those that are left. We both have a shot to celebrate a successful summoning and Imperial firepower finally starting to take its toll. T6 The daemonettes kill 4 sisters and take no casualties. The remaining bikes take out 2 sisters. 2 havocs in the top of the building each take a krak round to the chest. What is left of them spray down on their comrades who just laugh. The chaos Lord takes one wound from the Canoness after slaying 2 celestians. The enraged Canoness splits the traitorous Lord in half and his death scream shakes everyone on the field, excepting the noise marines and daemonettes who all giggle. we each have a shot in honour of Lord's demise and the Canoness's prowess. T7 The bikers finish the sister unit finally. The daemonettes kill another sister , but are bannished by the searing light of the sister's faith. The defiler fires and lives up to the title of indirect as it does no direct physical harm except to one noise marine who is obliterated by a grin on his face. The Canoness finishes off the two remaining retinue marines. T8 The defiler manages to kill one sister after some goading from the havocs in the floor above. The 2 bikers turbo across the board. The foot havocs take a chorus or rapid bolter fire and none are standing when the smoke parts. T9 The 2 remaining bikers charge the celestians. Three noise marines are riddled with bolter fire. One biker dies in combat. Realizing from the clock that its Scotch o'clock we each have a shot and get back to work. T10 An angry defiler moves from hiding to get better accuracy and is rewarded by the deaths of two sisters whose souls it gorges on. The biker AC is slain by the Canoness. Two noise marines and two havocs die to gunfire. The defiler take five missiles and a half mechanical, half daemonic wail echoes. The remaining noise marines are excited, while the horror the sisters feel only stiffens their resolve. T11 The two remaining havocs make their paltry fire worth something killing 2 sisters before being sent screaming to the warp. At final count my buddy won by 350pts, 210 if you subtract the obs I left out. This was a really enjoyable game. Apocalyptic is the only way to describe these 2 mortal foes fighting to the death. My buddy only had 1 exorcist and a little over a dozen sisters left. For most of the game it seemed that I was winning, but attrition won out. The amount of fire my marines took before finally being laid low was impressive though. I wasn't too aggressive or blood thirsty in my prosecution as I know what it is like to play for awhile and have zero victories. While I may not of fought as hard as I could, my enemy earned his win slowly killing me one or two marines at a time. His shrewd use of the few faith points he had made a big difference in 2 or 3 key points of the battle. I can't remember the last game I had that was this much fun. Win or lose I was glad to get my EC's ear wet (with blood). Sorry if the commentary is a bit disjointed, but it was scribbled in shorthand after each turn and we both had a good buzz from the amount of beer and scotch we consumed. Nothing quite like a combat drug to keep you going!

Nice report, and I too am curious about the oblits, though they clearly sensed the Dakka apprehension and stayed away for this one. At first I though maybe you were "Slaanesh" chaos, but with all the EmpyKids references I wasn't sure ... High five for 40k + celebratory shots though - Boss Salvage EDIT: NM about the confusion, you're clearly playing EC as a Slaaneshi-flavor CSM army. Works for me!

The sisters squad is Dominians, they are FA and can take 5-10 models. Cant say i like the army though. You should help your friend with his sisters, the two exorcists and seraphim gives him a good chance but the rest of his army is crap. I field a 1k sisters list and could write up some inspiration if hes interested. Otherwise, he'll get the hang of it eventually.

Please put this on your sig if you know someone, work for someone or are related to someone who suffers from stupidity. Stupidity is real and should be taken seriously. You could be sitting next to a sufferer right now. There is still no known cure for stupidity and sympathy does not help. But we can raise awareness.... 93% won't copy and paste this because they don't know how to copy and paste |

What were Traitors doing in your army? As far as I can remember, Traitors arent a basic part of a CSM army, and you didnt look like you were playing LATD.

It looks like the sisters are built for just divine guidance, which works well enough against other MEQ armies. However it seems that Mechanized Sisters are more popular.
