Master, BP, PW, frag grenades

5-man retinue, bolters, infiltrate

2 6-man Veteran SQDs, Las/plas, infiltrate

3 8-man SQD’s, HB/plas

1 6-man SQD, HB/plas

2 6-man SQD’s Las/plas

2 3-man Bike SQD’s, MG

1 8-man Assualt SQD, Vet with PF, NO JUMP PACKS

2 8-man Devastator SQD’s, Vet with PF

The Master supports the vets when they infiltrate.  The PF squads move every turn to close in on mid-table objectives (wierd way to use DEV's I  know).  The Vets take side shots at bassies and other nasties.  The bikes take on bassies and long distance objectives.  Tactical squads form the fire base, the 8-man sqds move out to support the PF sqds as needed.

I went with bike sqds over speeders because I wanted something that could move 24’’ and have a decent chance of surviving bolter fire.

14 scoring units, 90 models, 8 HW’s, 3 PF’s, 1 PW, 8 plasma guns, 5 units capable of movement outside the deployment zone (3 infiltrating units, 2 bike units - not to mention 3 PF units that will move every turn till they run into something or hit an OBJ).   I hope there’s enough mobility and firepower in there.  I could swap the master out for a Codicer with FotA.

I myself run 82 marines in my army. I started this tactic when 3rd ed came out and it worked like a charm. Only thing I found was that if somebody else is runnning the same thing, you could see some of your army crumble fast. I myself found that you need two leaders in your army for the sides. At least one of them needs to be fast moving in order to handle any proble on the gun line. Best all around I found was the Two Jump pack leaders with base gear.

My first time running my list at 1850 was 87 marines and I won all my games, but tied my 4th game because my buddy ran the same army. Bastage saw my idea and came to the tourny with it.... Granted it was a little different, idea of mass power army was the same. This is when I found that having another leader on the other side would of helped win me the game. I just could not stop the fold on that side. Thou my basic chappy cleaned up, he was not able to move to help the side that was caving in.

I would put your leader in more of a supporting role instead of a front liner. As far as your movement goes, you will be ok once you learn placement and few other tactics with your army. March any place on the board with ease. I myself marched across the board to get into the other person side vs eldar. Net for the vp was around 3k for me. My army is was diff thou. Best of luck and let me know if you need any tips
