Was working on taking some screens of my castle.. but the server went and crashed on me.

Just spent an afternoon enjoyably creating a HUUUUUGE castle. I've spent well over 500 cobbleblocks, and probably an equal amount of dirt. Moved about 100 water as well for the mob trap.

What now?

Finish the last 2 floors and the observation post. Add the astrologer's hovel (circular tower with a glass roof) to the side of my fortress. Add in the furniture, so bedroom, workroom and storage room (2nd floor). The 3rd floor will be for PVP practice fights. 4th floor will either be a farm or tree farm. Each room will have a fireplace and I will also add an incinerator (lava).

Then finally, dig out the waterway next to the fort, and add a shipyard!

Hows your connection like docadeath (ausfriend here) i find that i have to reconnect every 5min - getting annoying but i love the server!

I hope whoever has been griefing will have the nads to come out and admit it, I'd hate to think we have cowards here on dakka.

Logging now; if my house has burned then i'm going back to SP, trying to do anything and keep it there with griefers is a lost cause.

Wasn't me. My place seems clean, cept for the lack of arrows in my dispenser (again.) Honestly, either people are using my dispensers as free ammo dumps, or someone is being very dumb, and keep walking into the shots. Bah.


My non lethal bottomless pit is fine as well. I think everyone should have a jump down it. It's a roller costar ride of fun!

Sorry bout the arrows. I wanted to look at your house, and got mad at the arrows for killing me, so I took them out. I'll put them back ASAP.

Had great fun on the server, everyone is friendly and talkative. Concerned with an issue which requires me to leave/join the server repeatably as after i destroy blocks they re-appear, this is either from:

a) a bug
b) my crappy net connection to the server (which is kinda understandable)

I just don't like annoying everyone with spam

we have launched an inquisitorial investigation. someone wearing default skin tried to set fire to nick's tree house. He's not too bright because he lit up the wrong forest xD.

Yeah that was quite entertaining. Still it's cleared a nice valley and uncovered a cave.

I do hope we do find who did that, I want to mock them.

-and stop them from actually doing damage. If they burn down my creeper I will destroy thier house, steal thier stuff and get them kicked.

yeah crashed.

Also, I do backup the world every 6 hours, so if there is ever major grief, all agree to stop building and I can restore to a previous version if you all notify me on here.

the logs? Is that a load of timed screenshots, or like CCTV, or just a log of who's logged in and out, or is it like replay from each person' view?

Well that's good, I'd hate to see some of the work that's been done so far completely lost.

Probably a log of who's logged in and out at the very minimum, and potentially what actions they take (block updates).

I am now wearing an Inquisitor skin.

We believe the main suspect is Yakface.

Murray, most likely your net connection. The server is based in Germany, and if your ISP has packet loss (wireless connection or bad wires), then that will cause you to drop out a lot. Hopefully they will improve their client and server code as time goes on!
