Hi all. its been a while since I posted. Love the new Dark Angels book. My next project will be a Ravenwing force . I remember seeing in multiple places people using plastic tubing to extend the forks on the marine bikes to make them look like 'choppers'. Does anyone know what size tubing(s) to use?

i was also thinking of making a 'trike'. any suggestions and or good tutorials for help on that project would also be apprecited.

Ravenwing can't use choppahs only Orks can.

Unless you mean converting Land Speeders into helicopters, but I really can't help you there.

So your looking for something like this. http://www.coolminiornot.com/31947

I have some 2mm styrene hex rod from Plastistruct in front of me. I would say maybe 2 to 4mm styrene rod. 2mm will be kind of weak depending on how long the forks are, not very sturdy so I would go for 4mm if it doesn't look to big.

dudes, he means chopper-style _bikes_ (think Hells Angels on Harley Davidsons), not big orky axes or helicopters!

btprelate, if you haven't bought the bikes yet, consider the chaos bikes - they're rather more chopper-like than the marine ones.

Once again, subtle humor flies over the head of several dakkites. Whoosh!

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Huh? Chopper bikes?

You mean bikes that turn into helicopters like in that old cartoon Mask? My friend had a toy of them it was really cool. :S

That's a WIP pic. It's done now, including bits to made it a RW bike. I can send you the parts if you're interested.

You mean "whoosh!" like a chopper flying above, decapitating those it flies over??

Or "whoosh! I farted" ?

Long years of practice enable me to express gas in silence, so that I may implicate a bystander as the true culprit.  Truly a blast at crowded parties.

I mean "whoosh!" like, right over their pointy little heads... they never even saw it. Perhaps "neeeeeerrrowmmmmm!" would have been more appropriate.
