After having been amazed by Jes Goodwin's Necron concept sketches on GW's site, and scratchbuilding my own "Obelisk" transport/tank in 28mm scale before the Monolith nor Necron miniatures even hit the stores, I decided to give Epic scale a try for another 'Jes' concept-to-model... this time in metal (scrap copper wire of dif. gages, copper sheet, solder and cy-glue.) Painting starts today. Comments are welcome. Thank you.

Excellent work bringing the concepts to life. I'm not a big Epic guy, but the first one seems suitibly detailed for that scale. Any chances you'd think about trying your hand at  a 28mm version? of the war altar?

Hellfury: Thank you

Drake Marcus: I will do one in 28mm, but right now I am planning a 28mm Necron titan..., I know, I know... there is the Abattoir and AE Orb, but I want a 'walker', Warlord sized! Think of a Sphinx laid down as in Egypt, up with a great pryamid upon its back. Then imagine the unlucky army who first sees this massive brute come to life, arise on all fours, charged claws extended, whips cracking!

I like that concept- it's not just a giant Necron ala almost all the other titans! Creative.

Cool. I very much like the epic one. The small end of the spectrum increasingly calls to me these days.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Why would the Necrons take any interest in religion?
