Apparently the last couple lines at the end of the June (US) White Dwarf article on Blood Angels hints that there will changes made in the next issue of  White Dwarf to Codex Space Marines. Can anyone confirm this? Anyone know what changes are to made?

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias

Yes the July WD will have changes to codex red space marines. I believe it has been confirmed on Warseer.

The passage in question:

NEXT MONTH: In the next issue of White Dwarf, we conclude our official Blood Angels Codex with the complete army list and design notes. You'll also find the rules for those units that are common to all Space Marine armies, such as Tactical, Devastator, and Assault Squads, and various Space Marine vehicles.

I don't see anything to indicate that these will be changes to Codex Space Marines. Plus a lot of us have already seen the second part of the update and there is nothing that indicates any changes to Codex Space Marines.

BA specific stuff was in this months (heros, death company), general stuff is in next month. Atleast that is how I read it.

As I read that, GW is merely saying that they will a) finish codex Red Spase Marinze and b) include a bunch of rules from the BBB in the July White Dwarf, so all the n00bs who want to start their Red Spase Marinze army will be able to play without having to invest in the hardcover rules just yet.

I'm sorry, but as inflammatory rumors go, this just doesn't cut it.  Couldn't you have given us a more creditable source, like a bloke you met in a pub?  At least a source that cannot be so easily checked.

I liked the nifty little stealth change to Rapid Fire weapons being used with Terminator Armor in the BA article in WD.

Huh?

It was so stealthy I missed it!

Read the Terminator Armor entry on page 78 of the current US White Dwarf (WD #329).

I have no intentions of spending a single solitary cent on that rag.

Is the Termi Armor entry identical to the PDF we saw a few weeks back?

I don't know if this is "new" news, but my understanding was that you couldn't, under RAW, combine rapid fire weapons with Space Marine Terminator Armor. The Terminator Armor listing with the BA reprint specifically allows the use of rapid fire wepons. It wasn't written into the current SM codex, the Templar Codex, or the Wargear book. I don't have a new Dark Angels Codex, so I can't check it to see if that little line is in there.

So, with that little stealth print, you suddenly can start putting Combi-weapons on Blood Angels Space Marines in Terminator Armor, (who have access to the armory). Combi-Plasmas on a Command Squad, with 2 attached IC's. And if the Term. Sgt in the Command squad has access to the armory, you have the potential for up to 8 rapid firing plasma shots on a deep striking unit, 6 of which are at BS 2. Plus the potential for 1 or 2 assault cannons. It would be an expensive unit, but kind of a nifty shooter too.

You mean people actually use combi-weapons? I guess I'm just interested in being able to shoot effectively more than once.

I don't think this is such a big deal, if true. Chaos combi-weapons on Terminators are hardly all powerful and game-changing.

"Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! Slayer of worlds! Felt the power throb in his weapon. He clutched it tightly in his hand and turned towards his foe letting it build in the twin energy spheres and then finally! RELEASE! The throbbing weapon ejaculated burning white fluid over them as Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! laughed manfully!" - From the epic novel, Bloodstorm! Ravenblade! Obliterates! the! My deathwing used them religiously before their nerfing. Combiflamers ftw.

Its not like it matters now. You cant give termies or termie sgts rapid fire weapons anymore, so the point is moot.

$6 short, 3 years too late.

Yay for clarifying a rule after it is no longer valid.

um this may be the wrong place to ask but while D angels termies cant have rapid frie weapons where on earth does it say that normal termies sergeants can't??

They can use them, but the point is the BBB is poorly worded. It only mentions heavy weapons in regards to shooting and assaulting with terminators, not rapidfire weapons. Really ticks off Chaos players who've overlooked that rule.

So outof the blue, Blood Angel dex fixes this rule (for them) but they can't use them (apparently)

However, can't Blood Angel HQs take terminator armor? Specifically Librarians? I figure they have access to combiweapons, right?

Unlikely. If the DA Codex format is followed, Terminator armour involves swapping out all other equipment for the package.

Sort of like when you get an SLE Seden instead of an LE.

Just checked my DA codex and it does mention that Models wearing terminator armor can assault after firing heavy and rapid fire weapons.

I'm surprised no one caught that earlier.
