I made this list with Asurmen in mind, and have already painted a Wraithlord and a Dire Avenger squad. C&C would be appreciated. Asurmen 10 Dire Avengers, Exarch w/ Dire Sword and Shuripistol Farseer w/ Runes of Witnessing, Mind War 6 Fire Dragons, Exarch w/ Firepike Wave Serpent w/ TL'd EML, Spirit Stones 6 Fire Dragons, Exarch w/ Firepike Wave Serpent w/ TL'd EML, Spirit Stones 10 Dire Avengers, Exarch w/ 2 Shuricats, Bladestorm Wave Serpent w/ Shuricannon, TL'd Shuricannon, Spirit Stones 10 Dire Avengers, Exarch w/ 2 Shuricats, Bladestorm Wave Serpent w/ Shuricannon, TL'd Shuricannon, Spirit Stones 10 Dire Avengers, Exarch w/ 2 Shuricats, Bladestorm Wave Serpent w/ Shuricannon, TL'd Shuricannon, Spirit Stones Wraithlord w/ Brightlance, Wraithsword Wraithlord w/ Brightlance, Wraithsword _____________________________________ Basically, everything deploys inside skimmers behind terrain. Asurmen joins the DA squad on foot, and the farseer is behind the squad. Also near the farseer are the wraithlords, so they dont become stupid. Thanks

Executing Exarch

Dire Sword + pistol is a bad idea, IMHO. If you're running this squad with Asurmen, you're going to have to get into assault. In fact, Asurmen's Dire Sword means you will probably want to engage your opponent's commande or some other multiple wound CC monster. Such targets are likely to have multiple PW attacks and to follow a unit which also has some PW attacks. That being the case, the PW + Shimmer Shield is likely to pay off, especially if Fortuned.
The Farseer is poorly configured. As shirou points out, Perils is no fun. Aside from that, meh, Mind War is nice, but it's hardly the most useful/flexible Farseer power. I can see that you're going for a barebones "Wraithsitter" Farseer, but it's woth shelling out a little extra to get a better power. As mentioned above, Fortune could be a good choice.
Do you really need Exarchs w/ fire pike for your FD squads? If transport slots aren't an issue (and since you're using 6-man squads in a Serpent at the moment, they aren't), it seems you would be better served by having an additional FD (and a bit of change) for the cost of each Exarch + pike upgrade. Or you could jsut spend the points elsewhere.
Can you afford to go without Vectored Engines on the Serpents? It seems a little risky to me, but of course it's your call. Also, you have one HS slot open, and two of your Serpent-riding squads are 6-man, so why not swap out one Serpent for a Falcon? It's worth the points increment for an indestructible scoring unit skimmer.
If you're going to outfit some Wave Serpents with EMLs, it would probably be a good idea to choose the ones assigned to DA squads, not FDs. Spread out your anti-armour capabilities.
Are Wraithswords really that great a choice? I know they can give you the edge you need in CC, especially with the nerf to the number of attacks, but (speaking from 3rd ed. experience, as I have yet to play a 4th ed. game) I have always found my Wraithlords to spend not a lot of time in combat, as opponents either steer clear of them or hit them with one of the few things that can butcher them. I would consider it more worthwhile to spend the additional 15 pts each and give each WL an EML as well, doubling their effectiveness in the first few turns of the game. Just a thought.
