I'm sure this has come up before, but I found this site, www.clevermodels.com, and I can't remember the best model RR scale for 28 mm games.  I think its N, but it may be O....  Please help.

N is tiny, it's probably O.

HO is too small, Z is miniscule, and G is way too big.

O gauge is about 1/48 scale. S gauge is about 1/64 scale as from reading the many informative posts from Kid Kyoto 1/64 is the closest to true 28mm scale. just as a side note some stuff from lionel seams to be closer to 1/35 because it was made to be geared toward kids toys. hope that helps & my memory hasn't failed me.

Despite what the numbers say. The only way to be sure is to take a few of your models to a hobby shop that deals with model railroads and see what "looks right". Remember that game companies like GW create a lot of their models on a "Heroic 28mm Scale".

To me 1/48 and 'O' scale look pretty close to correct, but it might not look right to you.

O scale is what's usually recommended at TMP, as it's pretty easy to come by, compared to some of the more accurate albeit rarer scales.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Um no, definitely not.  I always recommend 1/48 or O scale for vehicles and buildings.  Sometimes you can get away with 1/35 for weapons and accessories but I never recommended 1/64.

Here's a picture of an O scale building with some GW figures.

Thanks for the replies.  The site I linked makes card buildings that actually look pretty good and are pretty sturdy (I saw them at i-Hobby Expo in LA).

I especially like these ones:

and

They also have sheets of "texture": clevermodels.com/textures.html

1/35 is going to be way to Big.....I know becuase I just bought some 1/35 Russian snipers to use with the Inifnity range of miniatures, and they are sadly way to big!! I'm now going to try 1/48..... I love this game!
