First time posting here, so HELLO! Anyway back to topic: is there a decal for the Raven Guard insignia, or are they all hand-painted? I've looked on the GW website at the current decal sheets they have in their "bits" site and none of the imperial or chaos sheets have the symbol. The pictures of the Guard in the Space marine codex display insignia that seems much too precise to be hand-painted, but then again, that's what those guys are paid to do so I dunno.....

http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?do=Individual&code=99510101102&orignav=9 As you can see... there is not. Of course this is the pre-4th ed. decal sheet, i don't know if there's a new sheet out with the new command sprue or not, but this is all the search engine brings up on the GW site.

Currently there is no GW produced Raven Guard decal. Up until a few months ago, it was possible to get an RG decal sheet from Griffon Games, but then the GW Copyright Police made then stop producing them. At this stage, GW has made no noises to indicate that they have any intention of either making decals for them, or even producing a moulded shoulderpad for them. I'm pretty sure this makes them the only First Founding chapter to have no officially produced iconography whatsoever.
Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news, but the only thing you can do if you're deal set on RG is learn to paint them yourself - and its not easy.

Yeah, I hadn't looked at the transfer sheets for awhile sorry about that. I don't even use 'em so when I saw the DA symbol I was mistaken as to what it was.

Lordhat, if you're not adverse to having a go at making your own, I have a sheet of Ravenguard icons just waiting to be printed onto decal paper. The only problem is that the Ravenguard icon is white, and to print white ink, you need a special printer called an ALP's printer. To get around this I have a version with a black background that can be printed on white decal paper on any inkjet or laserjet. The icon itself will come out clear allowing the white of the decal paper to show through. Cut the icons out carefully, apply them, and hit them with a spot of clearcoat for protection. Voila!

Try
models4u.whoadude.com
He does custom decals with an ALPS printer. Prices run to about USD 22 for a single A4 sheet, but that should be enough for an entire company of marines, if not more.
Cheers

Ty for all the Info guys. I think that since there is no official GW decal for the RG I'm goin to go ahead and have some custom insignia done for my army. I always wanted some way to use my favorite american football team's symbol in 40k. ( FYI I root for the Atlanta Falcons, DAMN YOU TAMPA BAY!). There's a place here in Memphis where (GET THIS!) the guys at the Battle Bunker went to have the insignia printed for THEIR RG DISPLAY ARMY. Little odd that they'd go to the trouble of putting out a special character for a Founding Chapter, but not an insignia on a decal sheet.

You can also buy decal sheets which are white, and just print the black outline.

True, but when printing on white decal paper, it helps if your background color matches the color of the surface you will be applying them to (in this case black). Otherwise you'll have to be extremely careful when cutting them out, so as to not leave any white showing on the outside of the outline..
