I'm going to guess that Russ's Hosting company didn't do the automatic renewal of the domain, which expired and it took a little bit for him to get it straightened out and have the URL re-linked to his ISP.

The domain name registration expired, and Russ & I had a little bidding war to see who would get to buy/renew it.
