Old Crow ought to give you a commission at this point. Even with the lack of detail on the wheels your photos have sold me on picking up one of their half tracks.

I made those with plastic tube stocks, and the "muzzle-break" is cut off tube stock as well on the Sea-Dragon. I an looking into snipping them when I get a better "muzzle-break' for them, and 4 of them at that.

LOL! I wish Jez could do that,m but he is a small operation that can afford little in t hat regard. I did get a nice surprise for my birthday which the vehicles were a self given present to myself, got a free preview/of stowage kits and bags and rolled up camo netting for the Sabres.

sorry quite a time for me to be not overly present at dakka... work is taken much energy out of me...(drat...thats a horrible thing...and money doens´t cover that in any way...) so when will we see some new pics of your steel monsters?

Likely Friday will be fresh pics for viewing, busy day away tomorrow.

well this is then something to look forward too when i am too back home friday after working my bum off...^^

I will be decalling the fresh faced tanks as well as painting details as their aquillas need some golding up before the mud and grime hit them!

Okay, been slow lately, but I have done more painti8ng, I now also see that touch ups will be needed here and there before the decal and dirt process is started.

Good to be back on track somewhat, and yes, I thought you'd like that piece of short, short fiction. Of course Shrike joined that "discussion" , but SM and IG are like Apples and Oranges.

yup, and thus atract different players... i started to get interrested in 40k by SM but then i diverted to IG...much more possibilities down that road!

True, the IG can be supplied by so many different sources of minis and vehicles, but SM are Iconic for 40K and can only have paint schemes changed, maybe some head swaps here and there.

and even in the paintschemes they arew limited if you want to be generic fluffy about it... because even if i have seen some camo sm the lot of the armies are plain and simple in design...sadly...but i guess thats how they are supposed to roll of the production line...

But with Guard, so many camo or non camo options, weapon options, vehicles and so on. With SM it is Power armor/terminator armor/rhino variants/landraider variants/landspeeder variants.

well options as to loadouts are one thing... what i firstly see in a good army is the look... and sometimes the SM armies mightyly resemble to my taste that of harlequins and clowns with very heavy water splashing flowers lol^^

LOL! SM are supposed to be the "Knights of Space" for the Imperium. But the IG represent the standard human doing what he can in the face of incredible odds and foes with a flak jacket and flashlight

i like the sripes on the mainguns, haven´t seen that done before...
also where did you get those decalls with the writing? are they with the rest of the regimental decals? and i like how you deled-up the tanks!

one minir thing tho...first pic of the claymore...you messed up the lascanon...the red spots got sideways on the left...can´t stand idly by and get these tanks up in a good paintscheme when some parts have to be redone^^

Kill stripes, white ones for 5 kills, and black ones for 10 kills. And yeah, those all came with the tank regiment decals in all GW tank kits. As for the Multi-lasers barrels, a dry brush of mithril silver will fix the problem.

Now once I do all of that, and dirty them up, they will be done and I can get to my long waiting collection of Leman Russ Tanks and other more oddballs like the Char-1B Malcador!

LOL! even on Bing too! My army is all over the Internets! i look for the Akuyaku and my version and others show up!

under the Akuyaku search i even founf the full army shot and the perun once^^ when i look for steamtanks and such terms and i find my own tank it feels a bit sppoky and als i am a little proud^^
and the best part is this ghost of a hint of your work will stay in the web for well as long as any servers are working... we have aimed for fun and creativity and nailed eternity^^ how cool can it get^^

The imagery has been in internet eternity as far as computers are concerned, but the Internet may well last a while and those images downloaded multiple times.
Now we were simply sharing what we worked on and all of it is now online for access.

yup blessing and curse in one small tight package... once it is out in the web you lost the control of your image... i expect some chineese redo in the next three mnths from your perun and my steamy^^

i sometimes cringe a bit at the fact of how much work is ruined once you aply the mud...but there is only one way to weather down a tank... you have to firstly make him shiny and then destroy the paintjob^^
