Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Die, You are forgiven. If I Live, I will kill you." Such is the Rule of Honor.

O H I am in the Webway...

The Whirl/Dread walkers = amazing. Though its a good/bad thing that they are taller. More LoS but they can see you easier =P

Belial = Pure Amazing.

Hey Sirius42, put this in place of your link...then we can all see your pic without going to another page ; )

http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2009/2/7/18911_sm-Space%20Marines%2C%20Terminator%20Armor.jpg

You will need to place img in (square brackets) before the link and img/ (in square brackets) after the link or if you highlight the whole thing and click the 'image' button it will do it for you. Just for your info, I got the link off your gallery under the heading 'Forums'. If you click in the box once then use your right arrow key you can scroll to the beginning of the text you need...it starts and ends with the img tags.

pasting that directly into your posts will give you your image right away without needing to do anything else...I deliberately ommited the [image] tags otherwise you would have seen the picture and not the link.

Sorry for going off topic people.

Well, you have to remember that these were built during the 4th Edition release so the LOS rule wasn't an issue. That said, the models play exactly as their tracked counterparts in ALL respects (until I do some descent rules for them). As far as the LOS rule goes the odds are even because as you quite rightly point out they are taller and therefore more easily spotted.

I have used them in a few games now and their height doesn't affect game play in the slightest. ; )

Too much detail to go into here, however, keep your eyes peeled as I will be building a Predator Destructor Walker in the near future and will document how I build it, plus give some tips on how I built the Whirlwind. = )

Thanks for the comments guys.

a WIP Stompa from a Mr potato head, and a fethload of plasticard.. if I never have to cut another damn rivet again I'll be happy.

The potato head is backwards, so I can put some weapons in the "mouth" area for a laugh.

And yes, it is pretty much a rip of the one seen on IRONDOG studios Instead of putting on armour plates, I carved lines into it to give the impression of plates...ended up spraining my wrist >< oops

I've only done two conversions so I'll just post both. One has to be the best
Most recent one

This one has had some sandstone I crushed added to the base with a small rock on it as well. I don't have a close up of it, but I'll also put the pic that it can be seen with the base done as well.

You'll probably need to zoom in on the image to see it properly. I should really get around to taking another close up pic of it

The Space Marine should be around here ^

Kinda ashamed to show this kind of crap while evryone else show so amazing things. Guess it's never bad to try?
First one is a Big Mek with a WIP kustom force field. All body parts from Battlewagon kit, burna is a SM flamer and the thing on his back (kustom force field) is a Battlewagons Grabbing Klaw, as it has no other means of use.
Second one is just a Nob with nicely posed Big Choppa.
The last is a Killa Kan/Deff Dread which my friend made for me from Soul Grinders extra parts. Thinking about what weapon to wield at other side and how to make it fit nicely.

My most recent and, IMHO, best conversion to date: Exodite Dragon Lord (counts as jetbike autarch)

I also like this Necron "Wraith Lord", counting as destroyer lord, that I converted recently but I'd say ranks #3 in my top five:

Here's #2, an actual Wraithlord, converted as a Striking Scorpion. Haven't finished painting it yet, still on the to-do list:

What's next? Another wraithlord - converted as a Dark Reaper.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell
