Hellish week of work finally behind me. Nearly done with the Exorcist, just in time for the tournament this saturday.

3 smaller ones left to do. I also plan on working on the 2nd Nurgle Daemon Prince (finally finished stripping him), just waiting on some metal bits from Ebay to make a big metal scythe.

Work progresses on the 2nd ruin. I hope to finish them all before the new year so I can start on some daemons again!

Not pleased with myself, started painting with enthusiasm and before I knew it I turned him into something that'd fit into World of Warcraft..

Well not entirely displeased, but still!

Finished painting the demon prince and the 4th ruin. Was poised to return to Tzeentch but I was distracted by:


Me and my brother pooled our resources and made a huge FW order which arrived today! This was before I knew it could be taken as a Lord of War unit, but...

It's the final piece for my Adepta Sororitas Airforce (2 Avengers and a Marauder Destroyer).

EDIT:
Also, it's huge! FW put in a normal Flying Stand + Base but it's useless. I have to make something bigger/taller. And there's not even a way to affix the flying stand anyways...

Spent some time cleaning, washing, assembling and greenstuffing:

Once the greenstuff dries I can sand it down.

Finished greenstuffing, sanding and repairs (the cupolas had some corners that were so thin they broke off, rebuilt them with greenstuff).



Primed white, will spray it black once it warms up again this afternoon (it's very cold in the shed, the black spray paint doesn't work very well then).

(one missile fully painted to test, all are magnetised, sadly that meant 'modifying' them somewhat. Also I hate tiny ridges that are like 0.5mm thick in resin).

Wow sweet, how many points of sisters do you have?

No idea, really. maybe 200-250 models I think. Bout 7000 points or so.

And it's basically done:


All that's left to do:
* Wait for the base/flying stem/widget to arrive, delayed by Christmas
* Improvise some sort of case for it

Forgeworld supplied some transparent plastic sheet for it, unfortunately it was heavily curled up. I had to straighten it with very hot water and a press. It also was very very clear so it was hard to see the 'glass' at all. I ended up varnishing it to give it some texture and make it actually visible! Looks a bit 'frosted' now. It was also a pain to cut into the proper sizes and glue it.

All in all this kit was fun to do! I give it an 8.5/10. Some problems include:
* Big shrinkage on the tail piece, took a lot of greenstuff/sanding to make it fit and even now there's a small 'step' in the hull section.
* HUGE and I mean HUGE blocks of resin attached to the main pieces (as fill gates). I was scared to take the razorsaw to it.
* Some detail on the huge blocks was filled with flash, especially tubing around the front section.
* Had to buy the missiles separately! For the price it should come with all 8 included!

Have 10 of these old Frateris Militia models. I will have to re-do the eyes on this one, zooming in like this shows it didn't turn out as I wanted! Bit surprising these are more true-scale than most GW models (apart from the hands/weapons).

I also started work on 18 Screamers of Tzeentch, just waiting on some bases to arrive before I start.

I suck at painting eyes, basically. Oh well.

Some signs of mutation present (double irises?) so have to make some 'corrections'...

Next up, last 2 inquisitors and another priest. My bases arrived for my Tzeentch Screamers so I can start on them in the weekend.
