Finished him. A Librarian in Terminator armor, made from a Praetor. Out with the new, in with the old.

And the book is all freehand, some Monty Python inspiration. The text is from the book of Armaments, and the designs are the monks jumping into the pool.

A Protoss colony world

Well, as luck would have it, I am going to have to bow out yet again. I've had some pretty rotten luck this week with things eating into my painting time, and to top it all off my apartment was without water for the last couple of days, and the water in my brush rinse cup had mostly evaporated. The water's back on, but now there's no time to finish painting. I might post a WIP pic to use as my entry but the Belials definitely aren't finished. Oh well, hopefully I can get something done for the Space Marine round and start the new "season" off right.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2023: 40 | Total models painted in 2024: 12 | Current main painting project: Dark Angels

With each new completed entry, I feel more and more outclassed this round

At least my friend liked his model for his birthday.

@DJJazzyJeff Ha ha, so my earlier comment about having to have a holy handgrenade on hand for all the rabbits in the thread was accurate! Love the concept and the illumination on the book is great!

@Zergsmasher sorry to not have you in this round. :(

Goodness gracious I feel the same - I was so confident in my entries this month but less and less so now!
Great job everyone I will need to keep improving my painting (and photography) game!

Haha, I thought the same when I read it. Though, the Holy Grail is standard reference material.
