Daia T'Nara's outrider is amazing, now I want to build it too I especially like that he rides on the planet of glitter Captain Brown's tower is also great.
The Taurox Venator and Outrider Quad are finished. They are painted the same way because they will be used on diorama as escort of the convoy. Both models were fun to make, and they are made straight from the box.

Not really, it goes slow and am only doing the undercoat colors still for the 3 retro bikes, I did finish the undercoat colors for the warlock bike though. Still need to put on some decal and then its "making em look worn and dirty" etc -_- (someone burn my house down so I don't have to )

So my friend had a D&D necromancer named Therion Darksoul that he was very fond of.
The character's appearance was inspired by Ares from Hercules & Xena, so that's how I always drew him:
I made him a miniature out of Mordheim mercenary parts, but he didn't look quite imposing enough.
So for his birthday, I made him a more representative model out of Marauder bits:
He misplaced the model almost immediately . So for his next birthday, I made him a higher level version:
Last year, he found the missing model, so now he has an evolution of the character. So what do you get the necromancer that has everything?
I decided to make a final boss version; a ghostly wraith Therion Darksoul
Finished Entry:
Therion Darksoul, Arch-Necromancer

Bit of progress, all the base colours and most of the washes done. They don't look like much, yet, and I'm probably not winning any awards this month, but I'm surprising myself how quickly I'm making progress with this squad. I think I've got so used to painting character (or character level) models that I've forgotten that simpler models like this can be painted fairly quickly. Hopefully things continue to go smoothly from here...
@Mothsniper - thanks for the suggestion re the 'chainmail', I've actually gone for a dark brown/dark silver mix and I think it looks pretty good. I might drybrush a hint of silver on just to brighten it up a little.
One more thing, I'm not sure what colour to paint the centre chap's hair. I've got a bit locked into doing pale skin tones, so I thought I'd try to diversify to a darker skin tone for him, but I feel like a space elf should have more interesting hair colour than just dark brown/black. I'm thinking about a grey/pale grey, but I'm not sold on that just yet. What do people think?

I'm making reasonable progress myself. I should be able to finish Padme in a day or two and have already started work on Sabe. Should be doable before I run out of month.
Mothsniper wrote: Finished pictures are in!; thanks to my friend for those. Wish some images where reshot with better focus, but I'z has what I'z has.
I do want to try the nmm on a smoother newer model, and with an airbrush next time, just to prove to my self that I can do it, and prob never waste time on it again. I do see Lots of room for improvement.
Spoiler:
I really like that paintjob!
Nehekhara lives! Sort of!

Yeah, a light color will contrast the skin nicely. I’d be tempted to go really bright yellowish green, because it’s such a classic color for a mohawk to be died.

Hmmm, that's an interesting idea! I think I'll try that! Thanks!

I'm going to (re)enter the two zombies from my last month's entry that never got further than primer. The "new" for this month's theme is their size, they are much more petite than modern Citadel minis, so this is a new size/scale for me to be painting. (You can see a scale comparison pic on my painting blog).
I have just finished this model and am anxious to paint it up. I will be painting him up in a Sons of Horus color scheme and trying some OSL from a lava base, which will be something new for me.
Besides that it is out with the old primarchs and in with the new! Finally answering the age long question "What if a primarch landed in Middle Earth?"

Jadenim: Nice work there. Love that model, I have one myself. Nice seeing somebody tackling it here!
Ok, as I finished my ghouls in such good time I thought I might crack on with the new FEC units and as such wish to submit the Varghulf Courtier as an additional option for the end of the month. Is that ok Nevelon?
I am thinking I could submit the Varghulf and four of the ghouls as a unit?
Proof pic…

It’s up to 5 related minis. As long as there is a theme tying them all together you are good.
It doesn’t even need to be the model range. For example if you were using the “in with the new” as an excuse to try NMN, and wanted to enter a space marine, a foot knight, and a motorcycle, all using that technique it would be fine. Despite the models having nothing to do with each other.
I will almost never say “no” to something if you can give me a shred of an excuse to say “yes”
If people disagree if things on on topic, appropriate, etc. they can always not vote for you. But I try to be an enabler and encourage people to do more, try new things. And if you passionate and enthusiastic enough about something to ask, that’s something I want to reward.
Quick WIP of my little tank. Base coat is done and what’s left is to weather it and make it look like it’s been through the war. If anyone has a method they like that they’d be willing to share or any recommendations on how to proceed I’d appreciate it; I don’t have much experience painting vehicles.
The little tank is great, it looks like something from old sci-fi movie or protoype from the Cold War era. Maybe leave it as it is and add a scientist in a lab coat next to it ?

Disaster struck in my life.. one of the (entire) rooms in my house was impacted by a long-term flood-mold (under the vynil flooring, spanning years undetected), so has been emptied out and awaits repairs likely taking a month or two..with the chaos of all furniture etc standing in my hallway and livingroom.. at the same time my dentist refuses to help me with an irregular problem so I have been looking for a new one to which all so far refused to help.. giving me a lot of stress (peaking whenever a phonecall ends with the same response..), I am not well equipped against such piling on of problems, already being VERY busy with a plot of land I hire, money for my gym subscription refreshing being cut and a damn wonky workplace (I do youth-work, and its being demolished by the state who's removing donations). Yeah its that bad alltogether.
I will still try to finish this months challenge but am at this point not sure if the result will be what I want it to be and don't want to enter anything half finished so .. we will see.

Hang in there and take care of yourself. If you finish your entry, great! But if it’s a level of stress that you don’t needs, not worries if you miss it. We’ll be here next month.
After two weeks of only getting the legs and feet done, I finished the torso in only one day. I can't get the cockpit door to close right, but that's neither here nor there.
The legs aren't supposed to go there, but they do fit.
The eye can be moved up, down, and all around.
Nice to see some gunpla in the challenge, and brush-painted (I think?) at that. Are you able to paint the shoulder and hip joints? I tried once because I wanted to change the colour of the frame, but any movement and the friction stripped the paint down to the plastic.
