Setting up the work area in the garage for tomorrow so I can actually start work on the titan again. It's been a long time since I have done anything with it and it needs to see some progress. If I can get the legs assembled and begin painting them, I'll be happy. I have the day off and I want to be productive.

Tonight I punched out all the tokens for the x-wing starter set and two expansions. Then I got some beer.

Just another starter set and three more expansions to go!

I had meant to use my new painting station, but I got carried away building my deadzone structures as high as they would go. So far the 2x2' area is averaging 3-4 tiles with a couple of towers going up to 6 tiles in height.

It's super fun connecting all of the structures with walkways and working everything up. I've got a large (9"x12") landing pad stuck at ground level kind of grounding things out, my next constructions may be solid-ish buildings to go down in place of that. I may tear the whole pad down and redesign it to match the nexus psi mission sized pad and my valkyrie be damned. I think it might be possible to build up to the 2'x2'x2' "DoomCube" I had previously envisioned... but I would need more tiles.

Cleaned a couple of Infinity minis too, kind of on a kick looking at those and there's no way I would get more without finishing these first. They might get bumped up in the queue

Totally going to, just really lazy and it's been dark and rainy the last couple of days. I've just ordered a new camera, nothing crazy but it should be better than my phone, so I'll probably take a bunch of shots with it tomorrow. I'm thinking we might get rained out again as I can still hear it roaring outside but we'll see.

Well, it was International Tabletop Day today and I had a few mates round to play Ultimate Dreadball.

I had done some painting of my Hellhounds beforehand, though one of my mates who was new to the game ended up using them.

We had 4 players. I was my Void Sirens, sharing the green arm with the Hellhounds. Then we had a Zzor player and a Forge Fathers player.

Things went quite well for me during the game, despite one of my Jacks dying in the first slam of the first turn of the game. Well, that was, until Rush 5, where, being at 5 points... All 3 of the other players decided to make a concentrated effort to take me down. Cue 2 people left on the pitch, one on the ground, surrounded by 3 Forge Fathers and a Zzor Jack. And one other defending my 3 point zone.

Things got even hairier for the rest of the game, however I did manage to score some cheeky extra points, actually giving me the win. 4 points for The Void Sirens, 3 for the Hellhounds, 2 for the Forge Fathers and, well, 0 for the Zzor. - The Zzor player liked bashing things a little too much.

Casualties were a Void Siren Striker+Jack, a Hellhound Jack and a Forge Father Striker.

We then moved onto a game of X Wing.

My Rebel Fleet comprised of:
Chewbacca with 'Draw Their Fire'
Kyle Katarn with Recon Specialist, Blaster Turret, Mouldy Crow
Gold Squadron Y Wing with Ion Cannon, R2F2

The Imperial Fleet was:
A Bounty Hunter with Proximity Mine and a Merc Copilot
Howlrunner with a Shield Upgrade
2 Academy Pilots
Dark Curse

We were using ships we hadn't really used before so plenty of mistakes were to be had. - The number of times my Y Wing collided with an asteroid is terrifying and the Bounty Hunter didn't get to use his Proximity Mine plus, I'm not sure if the Merc Copilot was used.

It ended up being a Rebel victory (2 wins in a row on Tabletop Day, take that Wil Wheaton! ) with my fleet finally cornoring the last surviving Imperial Ship - The Bounty Hunter. Although, ultimately it was very much more luck and skill - my theory is that the Imperial ships were actually flown by Stormtroopers.

In any case, the result wasn't quite as sewn up as one would think.... WIth the exception of the Falcon, my ships were pretty much held together with Duct Tape and 9(!) Focus Tokens.

Hoping to get the painting station out and put some more work down on my plague. It's been slow going though as I haven't put much time in.. but there's only a finite amount of work to be done and I'm chipping away. Gonna take some steps there. When baby is napping, I need to try my easy fix for my airbrush, and one that fails.. need to suck it up and order the replacement part.

Today, I'm going to play airbrush doctor to try to fix my Sotar 20/20, but I'll probably just have to put him on the waiting list and see who's got the best rate on a replacement nozzle.

Then, hopefully painting, we'll see.
