Subject: Armored Car Help

Stalwart Veteran Guard Sergeant

Two things I need from you esteemed gentlemen (and ladies for that matter), the front of my Armored Car needs some help. I don't have the Leman Russ parts that fit the right side of the vehicle any more for some reason and need some advice for what to put there. I have tossed the idea around of placing a fig in the front and plasticarding the armor around him to act as a driver/spotter. Secondly, I had initially thought about using Sentinel rules and making it like a command car for my upcoming Sentinel Brigade for Apocalypse, but seems too big. So what do you think Sentinel? Chimera? Salamander? Also any other comments and critiques are welcome. thanks in advance

For all your bravado, if the US Army decided to invade, Wisconsin is it?, in force supported by a heavy bombing campaign for the month before, weeks of shelling from battleships on Lake Superior, and a full tank thrust (crushing the cows beneath the treads), I don't think that your .22 is going to make much of a difference really... You could always just platicard over the whole thing and make it one flat panel. I think a driver or spotter would work though. Another weapon wouldn't really work if this is intended as a sentinel (as they only have one weapon system - and you have that in the turret). You could always just armour it up with platicard and include a second view port (like the centaur).

I think the big armored front plate (glacis plate?) from the old rhino/predator fit right over that spot. Shave off the slit and put an aquilla there, or leave it.
As for rules, what about that DKOK 'bren carrier' kit? If not those rules, then Sentinel for sure.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil |

I'd cover it up and add a spotlight or some kind of technical gubbins on top of it.
My first thoughts of the kit was that one pic of the scout car (Saladin?) from the Invasion of Kuwait, so maybe a Salamander?

Thanks for the suggestions, I went with Yair's (SYR8766) idea as I had the bits and looked the best Obviously needs to be painted but I think it works and leaves only a small gap at the bottom center. My next request for assistance is the front wheels don't have axles and with that small gap, I think the front needs something. The easy way is the bulldozer option below any other thoughts? Also, going with the salamander idea with a hint of VDR. Sallie rules with twin linked multilaser for 110 pts. thanks again for all the help
