Well I jsut bough the models, now I need to convert my Nurgle Tyranids and paint. I wanted to come here and see what you guys thought would make 'Nids look more Nurgley. So far, Im thining out and 'cracking' their carapaces to look like an infected toenail kinda thing (not painted that way) Im giving some tentacles from little plastic squids I found, and Im carving the three orbs of nurgle somewhere on each of their carapaces. Nurgle Brand (TM) Tyranids, Considerabely more dangerous than the next leading brand! I have the color scheme worked out and everything and the models in the army consist of: gene stealers, broodlord, flyrant, 'fexs, zoanthropes, and warriors. Dakka is the best creative base I could hope for, so fire away!

Between a rock and a hard place

Epoxy resin makes great slime/mucus. It's nasty stuff though, so use it in moderation. It might be worth modelling a few messed up Chaos mutations as well, random is good.

Swamp bases also seem fitting- epoxy resin is useful here as well, but a good layer of varnish should do just as well.
