... one catch though.  They're the original rules from 1990.  What, you thought they'd give you the new rules for free? >  Anyway, enjoy!

fricken sweet! This game was such a blast to play. Now I've actually got a real reason to paint up all those tiles. Kudos, GW.

Yeah, the 90s ruleset will allow everyone to see by himself how crappy Mighty Empire rules were at that time. Tables, tables, tables. The game was so annoying - especially when your friends discovered friendly settlement and cities while you only encountered hostiles and dragons.

Knowing how to roll 2D6 well is the key to victory here.

In my happy place, I'm in my happy place...

Much better than the new rules, they are only 5 pages long!

Yeah but the new rules are actually usable. We've been running one for a few weeks; really all you need is a reason to play the game.

This is a nice bonus.  Our WHFB group invested in the new Mighty Empires set; the tiles were nice, but the forty page rulebook is actually only five pages of rules repeated in about seven languages.  The rules covered one suggested way of playing with the tiles, but lacked special scenario rules (like siege battles) that were covered in the General's Compendium, something we had hoped for.
