These are my second batch of trolls. More of a grey-blue than the standard scheme, though I don't know how well this comes out in photos.... Leading the crew is Madrak: He has an eyeball on his medallion, but no hair. Next up is his biggest bruiser: He is also a baldie. The Impaler liked his hair in its natural color: The Axer did not.... He also wears cows:

Awesome skin tone, and those are some damn nice cows. Crags on the big bad are quite cool as well.

I keep trying to pick out my favorite model or part of the models. I just can't. You've done such and awesome job on each model making them individuals but at the same time tying them together through the skin tone. The different armor colors and the attention to detail on each piece just has me awestruck. There is variation in the toenails people! Just amazing work. I love em. Some better lit photo's might help bring out what you consider a blue grey skin tone, as they sit now, it's very violet'ish.

Thank you, grey_death. My photo skills are definitely sub par. I just discovered using a tripod and need to work on better lighting. I have seen some lightbox rigs that look pretty simple to do (basically using 2-3 lights, some foamcore, and some fabric). Problem is, I like to spend my time painting minis, not photographing them :-)

I don't think you need to go so far as building a lightbox, I've found that just adding a bit more ambient lighting in the room you're taking your photo's in works pretty well.

Damn cool painting. The cow bit fits the slightly off-bear feel of the models. Love the organic look of the leather too.
