Here is an idea I had based on Green Bloaters success in the Battle Reports section using a Mech. Assault Blood Angels. Now, this may be the least effective list you have seen, but I thought it would be fun. -HQ- Azreal = 225 Chaplian w/ Jump Pack = 120 - Elites - 8-man Veteran Squad w/ CCW, (2) Powerfists = 230 - Troops - 10-man Tactical w/ Powerfist, Meltagun in Rhino = 235 10-man Tactical w/ Powerfist, Meltagun in Rhino = 235 - Fast Attack - 5-man Assault Squad w/ Powerfist = 150 - Heavy Support - Predator Annihilator w/ Heavy Bolter Sponsons and Extra Armor = 145 Predator Annihilator w/ Heavy Bolter Sponsons and Extra Armor = 145 Land Raider = 250 The goal is to deliever Azreal and the Veterans into the heart of the enemy. Having 9 guys w/ 3+/4+ at the worst could put a hurting on most things, especially if they get 4 attacks on the charge. The down side is that they have to rely on the Land Raider, or do they?

Quick response: 35 guys, 3 tanks and 2 rhinos at 1750?
I'll pass.
----------------------------------------------------- For some more detail let's look at a breakdown of your firepower
Antitank 4 twinlinked lascannons that are shakeable 2 meltaguns 3 powerfists 33 guys with krak grenades
Antiinfantry 1 Twinlinked heavy bolter 4 heavy bolters 33ish bolters
Total models: ~40
I just don't think you put your game face on this list man. You rely on assault and yet the brunt of that assault is 33 marines and 2 sub-par assault characters. You're woefully short in all departments of shooting. And half of your assault component rides in rhinos.

Cut the characters back to just Azrael for sure. DA cannot afford to buy lots of characters. Take extra armor off anything that has it (just not worth it at 15pts imho, since there are no DA tanks worth putting it on).
Take the extra power fist out of the veteran squad (isn't it 25 pts? if it's 15, leave it).
Add a lascannon to both the SM squads and change their tanks to Razorbacks (maybe with lascannons or multimeltas).
Swap both predators to el cheapos (save like 70pts).
Then see what you can get for the rest of your points. Possibly another 10 man tactical squad, or at least beef your assault squad up to 10 guys.

That gets you something like:
Azrael - 225
10 vets with one powerfist - ~ 250
2 x 10 man tac with las/meltagun, razorback with multimelta - ~ 600 (less, but i don't know how much)
10 man assault squad with fist ~ 275
2 x cheapo predators - ~ 190 Landraider ~ 250
That puts you at around 1750, plus or minus 50pts depending on how bad my memory of precise pricing is. You should be able to make up the diff by swapping a multimelta rb for a heavy bolter or something.
It drops two twinlinked las, but gets you heavy bolters/autocannons that can always be used for antitroop instead of always antitank and wasting shots. Adds two multimeltas, two twinlinked lascannons, two lascannons, and 7 warm bodies. Loses a reclusiarch.
It still kinda sucks but it retains the flavor of your original list.

I fully admit that the idea is a bad one to begin with, but I like the changes. At least you made an attempt to make it work rather than dismiss the idea to begin with.

Well, it's not a great idea and it's gonna lose a lot, but if you put enough marines and tanks on the table you'll do alright. Not great, but alright.
It kinda saddens me that most marine lists are going to be relegated to being owned by Godzilla nids and Mechanized Tau/Eldar these days.

Longshot is right,
You can easily have a multitude of Razorbacks and Predators.
3 Preds with autocannons and lascannons are only 125 or 130, I forget, and do just a nice as Full on Annihilators. Then you can sprinkle about the twin las on some of the other razorbacks for some extra punch.
This would also be a good list to take some ravenwing bikes with meltas, or an attack bike or speeder or something. Fluffwise of course. How cool would it be if the "ravenwing" took to battle, IE you painted everything black, not just the bikes and what not! Just because the fluff says they are bikers doesn't mean they don't know how to mix it up like regular dark angels should the need arise!
