I've decided to hit up the 'Ardboy tournament.

My list is:

Min warriors
Max Immortals
Max Destroyers
Deceiver

I've got 250 points left, one HQ slot, one troop slot and 3 heavy support slots.

I'm torn between the following options:

1. Lord w/Veil +Heavy Destroyer
2. 3 Heavy Destroyers (units of 1 and 2) + Tomb Spyder
3. 3 Heavy Destroyers (3 monats) and some warriors
4. Monolith

What do you guys think?

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

In my happy place, I'm in my happy place...

Well, I like upping your regular necs for a greater phase out number personally.

However, of your options I like #1 (deepstriking immortals can wreak havoc on lots battleplans) and #4 for sheer intimidation of opponents who irrationally fear the monolith.

I would take 3 units of 2 Heavy Destroyers a piece and lose some Immortals to fit it in.

You're going to need all the AP2 firepower you can get your hands on in the 'ard boyz tournament when you face Godzilla lists.

Also, you need to have at least one Lord with res orb floating around (preferably also with veil).

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?

yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!
