Ask any english person, and you'll find out that England is huge. E.g. I told my mate I was going to North devon and he was all like ooooh thats a long way to go. Of course geographically it's not but to the british it is.
Also anyone else noticed that the most coveted spot for the newest wave of recruits is my old storm bolter position?

Come to Australia  and yes I am from there. Look at my flag in a month and it will be the Aus one.
It takes at least 10 hours to go to the capital city (Canberra) from where I live (Victoria)
