Wales: Where the Men are Men and the sheep are Scared.
I sold my marauders to a friend of a decent discount. Not a huge fan on the models and he owns orks. Plus five deadzone factions is too much for me to get round to painting along side my Samurai, he gets some cool models I get a mate with a deadzone team to play against.

Yeah I'd *give* away one of my factions if it meant I could play.
I like the concept for the marauders enough. They pretend they're like gw orks and act dumb to get an advantage, but they're really smart, resourceful, and fairly badass. But you still don't *have* to take then as seriously as enforcers or plague.
As soon as I get off my butt, we'll see if I like painting them as much as I like them in theory.

I prefer to think of Marauders as real hard-line professionals, who are envious of the Enforcer's Tech, funding and weapons, look down on Rebs for their lack of the same and fight the Plague because it's good for business (bonus badass points=more employment). Think, the Expendables, but green... The Orxpendables.

Well, my new computer desk arrived today, so I assembled it, and am now working on setting up the hobby space in my new house (recently moved across the country).

I put together a load of Mantic Marauders for Warpath. Now I sleep. Tomorrow, Kingdom Con. I plan to play a lot of Deadzone, and maybe some Super Dungeon Explore.
Gonna try and finish a troll off. Mostly rebasing, but a little retouching as well. Then I'm going to grind my way through a bunch of plastic Men of Gondor, who are finding new life as a Kingdoms of Men detachment (one day to be a full army) in KoW.
I almost managed to distract myself further by starting a hydra..
Got a load of 50 bases off of ebay, so I'm basing a massive number of Dark Eldar. I also got my Jokaero counts-as models painted, which means my Dreamblade figs are almost used up. (The ones I repurposed for 40k, anyway.)
Put up a shelf in and tidied my workshop, strip cleaned my airbrush, and later I'm going to finish the second of two barricade scenery pieces I've been working on.

Now that I'm back from taking my son to 'meet Curious George,' (The PBS ad was suspiciously vague. We drove 45 minutes on the off-chance it was a real monkey rather than a guy in a big foam suit. Disappointment ensued.) gonna start working on my DE some more. I've got some cork and I'm going to start laying down some asphalt-y basing for my grotesques.
Holy crap you live in herrin? I thought the curious George thing had to be a coincidence till I looked at your location tag. Not many gamers up this way unless I missed them somewhere. So it sucked? We went but showed up at 4:15, ah the perils of night shifts and not closely reading the info. We had to play with the legos instead.
Earlier, I got some undercoating done and now have three more battle zone buildings and a few smaller pieces ready for their base coats. Some got a white undercoat, I'm considering some pre shading and trying out my ghost tints... but I should have started with grey for that. May just do a couple of them yellow.

I play in Carbondale. They've got not one but two game clubs there. The one I belong to meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, although beginning in May it will become Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. We meet at the game store there. (Castle Perilous.) You should totally come out and get some game time in!
Yeah, the Curious George thing blew, (The Man in the Yellow Hat is a pudgy ginger with glasses, wtf?!) but the location was pretty sweet. Lots to do, and my little one was real stoked. (He's too little to do any of the activities there, but he enjoyed running around and looking at the other kids.)
On the gaming front, I've got a bunch of repurposed Dreamblade figs I'm using as Wracks that I need to pull of their bases and rebase.
The blocks are always fun! I go to castle perilous a few times a year, where possible. I used to go all the time when I attended siuc, harder now with the little one. Plus I dunno anybody down there anymore. You guys mostly playing 40k? I guess I could shoot you a pm instead of derailing the hobby thread any further :p
On topic, my water tower/storage tank has all the bits laid out so I may get that finished today, maybe even primed.

I've had to do some pretty major reprioritisation though. I was hoping to have all the models done, now I'm going to have to just settle for a minimum squad, I think. I've basically got tomorrow plus a couple of evenings next week,if I'm lucky.
Plague Stage 1
Plague Stage 2 (Fortunately, my test model and done already!)
4 Stage 3A's
2 Stage 3D's (Doggies)
1 Heavy Machine Gunner.
I've managed to get the first stage of the red drybrushed on them tonight, then it's another 2 more (hopefully they'll go quicker) tomorrow and then I need to start thinking about what I'm doing for the clothing. - I'm thinking of copying my rebs scheme for any long coats / jackets with the rest being a somewhat random assortment.
However I don't quite know where I'm going to fit my charcoal / brown carapace schemes in for the Stage 3's - Maybe for the assorted spikes?

Well their skin is bulging but the muscles havent ripped out yet so you don't need to sweat the red if you don't want. I did the shoulder spikes, forearm spikes, nails and claws, plus the spine ridge in the color of the earlier generation armor plates. Helps tie then in, but I think the third gens just don't match as well as the 1s and 2s.
