I got lucky on ebay and bought some Forgeworld stuff at a decent price. I missed out on a Manticore and a Thunderbolt fighter, but I got my first choice - a Lightning, also a Medusa and a Destroyer Russ at a very very good price. I paid more for the fighter, as much as the other two put together. :mad:

I am not so sure about the Destroyer, 160pts for a fancy Bs3 lascannon, doesn't even have a turret mount. Though I know I can resell this locally if needs be. Question I hear this has been updated to Bs4 in the rewritten Imperial Armour, is this true?

The Lightning I am excited about, however the rules I have been changed I hear and its no longer the utter bargain it once was. Anyone got the latest points cost for the Attack and Strike versions. I think strike stays the same at 180, but 115 for the attack fighter was considered too low. Also which is better? I have a choice as to armament with the kit. 

Finally the Medusa. I really like the look of this piece Short range only 36" 'Demolisher' shell but is this automatically indirect firing? The old Imperial Armour 1 is unclear. Also I hear it now fires a bigger template, even pre Apocalypse. Anyone able to tell me more.

I believe that the lightning is still relatively efficient, however it isn't the super demo-charge style weapon that it used to be.

If its too good to be true, it is.

I havent paid for my winnig bids, the address to send payment did not match with that on eBay, and too much else didn't add up. So I waited. My emails were rejected by hotmail as undeliverable. That made me too suspicious. Just as well that I dont just pony out.

This morning I got a warning message from another eBayer, the warning came from someone on Warseer.com where some members have been stung. Buy Forgeworld kits at about 60% face value and end up getting epic miniatures.
