I'm wrestling with the new Roberto Brake story.

Do you, the readers prefer the shorter form like I, II, or IV; about 5,000 words, the intermediate length like III and V, VII; about 10,000 words, or the longer more complex background like VI. The murder content is about the same in all. It all depends on how much extra 'fluff' I add for atmosphere.

I'd really like to hear your views.
