I'm getting ready for Apocalypse, so I decided to include a Warhound Titan in my WH/ DH forces. I've yet to find a name for the beast, so if you have any idea, they're quite welcome. Enjoy! Viewing the pieces 1 Viewing the pieces 2 The feet are done 1 The feet are done 2 She's got legs 1 She's got legs 2 The main body 1 The main body 2 The gunners 1 The gunners 2 The gunners 3 The gunners 4 The torso assembled 1 The torso assembled 2 The torso assembled 3 Ready for battle 1 Ready for battle 2 Ready for battle 3 Only the interior of the head cabin remains to be done! In a few weeks, it'll be ready to blast apart my friend's Hierophant!!! Have a nice day! Phil

Including cleaning and all (which wasn't as bad as I feared) I put about 50-60 hours on it. I had no warped or bubbled pieces. With a good soaking in water and dish soap followed by a thorough scrubbing with a toothbrush, the flat car primer went on pretty easily. Almost all pieces were painted before assembling, which I strongly recommend. The only thing that I'm afraid of is that in my excitement, I didn't pin it before glueing (yeah, shame on me). So the legs feel a bit weak to support the torso. If worst comes to worst, I'll take some key elements apart and pin/re-glue them... Phil

Phil, thanks for the great resource! I've been wanting to see close up shots of the parts long time. Do you have any more shots of the pre-painted components?
Regarding the finished product, it's posed well and I really like the color scheme. My only suggestions would be to add more red to the leg armor, even if just on the knees, to balance them with the upper body, and to paint the heatsinks/energy coils on the plasma gun a different color. The green is very distracting. Personally I think a dark metallic would look better.
Great work!

Yeah, this is one model I would definitely pin. Prolly with 1/8" brass rod.
Anyways, there is a problem I have noticed about prepainting everything before assembly. The glue joins. The glue joins are glued to paint, and not the model... It could get ugly, but if careful, you shouldnt have any problems for awhile.

It does that with a flash. Doesn't look dusty under normal light though! I wasn't sure about the green... Might redo-it brass and mithril.... I'll follow through with my Valkyrie and Baneblade (doing it as a "fortress of Arrogance"-like using Parts from Karamazov!). I'll post those when they're done! Have a nice day! Phil

Excellent work.
I've been looking at buying one for awhile and your post has been a great help. I think I'll go the warhound before the rever titan to see how it all goes.
How is it for balance (i.e will a knock to the table knock it over)? I was going to put a base on mine.

Well although the model looks nice, I think an Inquisitor warhound titan is highly unlikely infact, since the Adeptus Mechanicus are the only owners of such potential warmachines. Sorry! Not even the Astartes or the Imperial Guards really own titans, they might receive support from titans if they demand them prior to battle from the Adeptus Mechanicus but nothing else. Especially since titans are fluffwise the incarnation of the machine god and thus worshipped by the Adeptus mechanicus cultists. So why should they gift such a powerfull holy warmachine to the Inquisition who regards worshipping of the machine god (claimed to be the Emperor by the Adeptus Mechnicus) with a very critical eye anyway? I suggest getting rid of the few Inquisition symbols and to add some nice flags and honour decorations instead

I suggest getting rid of the few Inquisition symbols and to add some nice flags and honour decorations instead Invivios, the Inquisition can pretty much get whatever they want. Boreas never said that the titan was owned by, or gifted to the Inquisitor. It makes perfect sense that an Inquisitorial force involved in an Apocalyptic battle would call in support from the Titan Legions. The Inquisition symbols would be added to distinguish it as serving under Inquisitorial command, much like the Inquisitorial markings on Deathwatch Space Marines. As for any suspicion between The Inquisition and the Adeptus Mechanicus due to doctrinal differences, remember that the Space Marines don't even worship The Emperor as a god, but that doesn't stop the Inquisition from enlisting their services. Sure the Inquisition may not entirely agree with the Cult Mechanicus, but they also understand that the Machine God is viewed as either subordinate to or an aspect of the Emperor and therefore they usually let it slide.

Sorry, but the Holy office of the Emperor's Inquisition doesnt have to own anything. If they snap their fingers and tell you to jump, you really better be asking "how high?". The =][= would be the one faction of the Holly office that could demand anything they want by decree. Its heresy to otherwise deny an inquisitorial operative anything they care to ask for. The only office that is higher in power in the imperium is the emperor himself. Now, tell me that the =][= cant own a freakin' measly titan. A warhound no less....

I dunno, the Mechanicus seems to be generally distanced from the Imperium. I thought that they didn't really answer to anyone.

I dont think they answer to anyone, but they dont hold the sway that the =][= openly does.
I see the mechanicus as more of a manipulative sect. Power through coercion. "Do what we want or no more forgeworlds for you!"

Yeah, I guess I just don't think the AdMech would GIVE anyone a titan... however I can see them assigning a Titan to an inquisitor for a long period of time if the cause was important enough.

That's more the way I "fluffed" it... Inquisitor Lord: I will need a Titan to walk against the heretic Army at Felicitis IV... They've secure a Titan soiled by Chaos! Forgeworld High Priest: To hell, only WE decide were the Might of the Titans go! Inquisitor Lord: And what about those? ***points to Tzeentch Dedicated books previously hidden in the Hight priest's office by a Callidus Assassin*** Forgeworld High Priest: What the... I don't know about those! They're not mine!!! You've got no proof that... Inquisitor Lord: I need no proof. Shall we say in three months? Forgeworld High Priest: Well... I... Euh... Inquisitor Lord: Oh, and I want it repainted in my colors. My acolyte will inform you about the placement of proper Inquistorial Insignae. Forgeworld High Priest: Never! Not in a thousand years! Inquisitor Lord: Remember those Tzeentch books? Forgeworld High Priest: We'll do it... But one day, you'll pay for it... Thanks for the comments everyone, I will make some adjustments! Have a nice day! Phil
