Looking good so far.

I'm loving that Dark Elf.

Not so sold on the not-Conan (his proportions seem a bit off), but I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt until we see finished pics. I wasn't too fond of the Orc until I actually had the model in hand... Sometimes minis just don't photograph well.

Felix should do more work for Privateer.

His Blighted Nyss archers were great, especially when compared side by side with the blighted swordsmen someone else did.

Both are excellent (as usual) but I don't see any real place for the barbarian outside of RPG's or fantasy quest games. All of his other mini's are perfect for WHFB but the Barb would be out of place.

Anyone know what's next up for him (Vampire please!)?

That's as good a sculpt of the Cimmerian as I have ever imagined... Looks awfully Franzetta in a good way.

I do agree with insaniak about the barbarian.

He looks like the best Conan I have ever seen from the ax haft on upwards, but below that, he look like his legs are sprouting from his tiny, elfin waist 9which admitedly is concealed by the ax haft and hands)

But again, Like insaniak said, some models dont photgraph well at all and there is nothing you can do about it.

it may be in perfect proportions, but the phot doesnt reveal that quality.

Check out the updated pic on TTGN.

He either fixed the legs or they just looked wrong from the forced perspective. It
looks fine to me in this pic.

And hawt.

And here I am I thinking the barbarian is awful.  That pose really only works if he's dead lifting an axe that weighs several hundred pounds.  The shoulders shouldn't be bent in in the way that they are, and his torso and arms muscles shouldn't be flexed, otherwise.  And the wide legged stance is totally unnecessary.

It looks like he used some of these pictures for inspiration.  Which just don't look right for that axe.

Actually, it looks a little more like he used this one:

It certainly seems like you nailed it, Insaniak.  Still doesn't change the fact that you don't flex your muscles that way unless you're picking up something really heavy. Much heavier than that axe looks to be.

Conan flexes when he feels like it. I'm certainly not going to be the one to tell him otherwise.
