Just a quick question,

does anyone have a problem or think it would be over-powered if Ravenwing attack bikes had the ability to take Twin linked Heavy bolters and assault cannons.

I'm not a big fan of the assault cannon option, but it feels very realistic for the actual army it self.

any thoughts?

"Realistically" you could say that while an assault bike is a stable firing platform, assault cannons have too much recoil, and the only heavy weapons they can support are Heavy Bolters and Multimeltas.

Fluff-wise, assault cannons are usually reserved for non-power armour, Landspeeders aside, altho I suppose a case could be made for Ravenwing. I would say Plasma Cannons or Plasma gun batteries in lieu of Assault Cannons. Good place to put them, since they have two wounds.

Twin linking the weapons seems a bit over the top to me, but single mount weapons wouldn't be out of line.

For Ravenwing attackbikes a third option would be nice. An auto cannon is what I would want.
Plasma has this little problem of getting hot.

Mounting plasma cannons on speeders is really nice to have. With MM we are in that 12"-24" inch range and that does not bode well for AV10.

The reason I kinda started this post was the existance of the special weapons available on the ravenwing sprue,

I would have thought that they wuold work quite well on an attack bike,
not to overpowered, but fluffy and fun.

Plasma Cannons on bikes would be funny (they could survive overheats very well due to the 2 wounds)

I'm not a huge fan of autocannons,
I guess an assault cannon does that role for me (especially on such as fast platform)
